i can't say anything again after i watched this movie. i imagine i had a lot of sins to my mom. since we don't know when we die please make your mom happy before it's too late OR you will regret it even you don't have a chance to regret. Grab your phone now and say i love you to her.

i love movie.. i watch everything, like war movie,car racing, sci-fiction, even cartoon.. if you re movie lover like me who love to watch based on GREAT STORY... watch this..!! you will no regret..

First off this is the most emotionally resonant movie I have ever seen. One of the saddest movie ever hands down. Every kid should watch this movie,and learn to respect. We can all relate because of the current "Me,me,me" generation. Overall there is nice lighting throughout which relate to the mood, and setting is nice. Actors did great and I can't find anything to change in this movie. Plot is about stereotypical spoiledish kid that gets embarrassed about her mother, but in the end she put those moments aside and realizes that her mother has cared for her and loved her unconditionally, so she shouldn't be embarrassed but proud. Although this movie is a melodrama it has some happy and funny parts as well. I'm sure no matter where you are from you will definitely enjoy this movie.

It is mesmerizing and emotional film. I was in tears in first fifteen minutes. Overflowing love and compassion of mother grips your heart. A woman has dared to live and dedicate for her daughter. What mother can do to nurture her daughter? She accepts abusive husband to nurture her kids. She does everything to educate her daughter in good surrounding and let her stand on her own feet. Many times she curses herself for not being able to serve as much she wished. For every mother, her kid is baby even though it is grown up. Mother symbolizes unconditional and selfless. I am fortunate to watch this movie in Korean film festival. This movie is evocative drama. Scripts, dialogues and characterization are powerful. Kim Hae-Sook performing a role of a mother has done incredible acting. This could be one of great Korean movies.

The film revolves around Jisuk and her mother's relationship spanning Jisook's childhood and adulthood, while i'm not a fan of some of the episodic structure, you can easily fill in the blanks. There are some really great and emotional scenes in the film and one of my main gripes is that much of the film is that the brunt of the film is essentially a collection of these great moments. You can often see where the film is going and won't be too surprised near the end but a incredible performance from Hae-sook Kim is almost disappointing as the rest of the cast remain underused while solid in their performance's. However, your enjoyment of the film will differ depending on your own relationship with your mother and i benefit from having one not a million miles away from Jisooks. I've been in one or two of those situations brought on by embarrassing parents and this film really speaks to me. For what it is, I really can't see many places where the film could've been improved and while flawed, it's positives far outweigh it's negatives. One or two scenes are overplayed but great use of close ups and a great script make the film one of the standout films of the year though i doubt it would get the recognition it deserves.
