Southern Fried Stings

This show is on the low of the low staged reality shows. When did the US change the Constitution & Bill of Rights? This dude & his team of soccer hooligans think they can harass & bust anyone & everyone. They kick in people's doors, forcibly detain people, threaten them, assault them, and cuff them like they are some sort of quasi-law enforcement militia. Most LE agencies cant even do what they do legally. Sorry old dude & hooligans, but you are NOT Seal Team 6 hunting down & killing Osama! Too bad you scare the crap out of the people you harass. They probably are unaware of the fact they can laugh in your face, flip you off, & then walk away.

What does the name TRU TV conjure up? Let's stop and think of it for a moment. Does it bring up thoughts of SCRIPTED series trying to pose as real ;ife situations? It sure as H E double hockey stick doesn't for me.

Now on to Southern Fried STings. One episode had a either a DJ or talk show host (I can't remember which) at a radio station getting threats against his life. OK, so far so good. The ITSY BITSY problem I had was when they showed the frequency of the radio station: 90.4 (or something where the number to the right of the decimal was an EVEN number). Here inn the United States that # to the right is ALWAYS an odd number (1,3,5,7 or 9). When I saw that any hope that this was a real deal flew right out the window.

Someone on another show on this sight said "The '50s was the Golden Age of TV. We are now in the Dark Ages." I completely agree. Thank Goodness for the Internet!!!

Anyone with half a brain will get annoyed at how stupid this show is within about 5 minutes, and then spend the next 5 minutes looking up if it is real online and then 5 more in shock that it has multiple seasons. Thank goodness the show is almost over and you can spend the rest of the episode laughing at all the horrible reviews.

Just who are these guys? They are NOT law enforcement, and could not get away with 90% of what they are doing. In today's day and age they would get the S#!T sued out of them.

If you find watching a test pattern challenging and entertaining then this is the show for you.

This is what people mean when they say "95% of what I see on TV is pure garbage". Apparently there's enough people mesmerized with this scripted nonsense to allow the show to still sit up and take nourishment, just like there will always be people who will waste their time watching soap operas. But for me, I'd rather watch a housefly laying eggs in rotten meat. I just hope no one thinks any of this is real or that this is how public officials are supposed to behave. I've given up on TruTV ever being able to produce a quality reality TV show. They're the National Equirer of TV shows. Just something you see in the magazine stand at the grocery check out that makes you either chuckle at or just shake your head at the fact that there's always a lowest common denominator to measure against.

I have seen bits of two back two back episodes, and went rite to the internet to verify my suspicion that this show is FAKE. I made it to Wiki and the description with in stated that it is " reenactments " which in no uncertain terms tells me IT'S FAKE. This is my opinion and I voted the show 1 Star, if I could have voted lower, I would have, Ill be sending an E- Mail to IMDb asking why I can't give a half or zero star vote. Don't waste your time on this show, it's an embarrassment that it's on a TV channel called TRU TV, this jeopardizes the name and integrate of the station. I'm not one to give reviews to the public but I felt so compelled and moved to warm the public and the people I feel that frequent this sight as knowledgeable viewers of media content, STAY AWAY from Souther Fried Sting. Unless you see it for what it is, a reenacted, facsimile of something that may or may not have really happened.
