Another feature "Grimsburg" shares with "The Simpsons" is that the sign outside the school bearing its name always features a joke.
Like several other animated shows before this starting with Os Simpsons (1989), such as American Dad! (2005), Bob's Burgers (2011), and The Great North (2021), this show has an element of the title sequence that changes each episode, in this case it's Grimsburg's town slogan on the town sign/title screen.
Harmony Flute, Marvin's ex-wife, has a tag on her left ear, no doubt a remnant from when she was raised by bears, as is the claw mark over her left eye.
It is revealed that Summers lives in a loft in a building called "EXT. LOFT," which is generic movie terminology for "Exterior. Loft."
The morgue Wynona works in is also a cafe, with the name "Stiffs & Stuff--Morgue and Cafe." There are separate sections for the two parts, however, and no crossover is apparent.
