Uttoron

The series is very much different frm other hoichoi sex comedy and thriller series..the content is relevant fr today's society.. execution is also quite good in places,Madhumita as parna has done a brilliant job..such an underrated performer..a true gem,one of the best gen-next performer in tollywood.

Uttoron is one of those emotionally charged web series that depicts the true facets of human nature and our so called 'modern' society during tough times. Parna, played by the ever dependable Madhumita Sarcar, is faced with the biggest challenges in her life when one of her private videos with her ex-boyfriend got leaked in the form of a viral video. It was enough for her husband to literally push her out of their room and into the balcony.

Even the driver's reaction has been beautifully captured and shows how easily the society and his men disrespects a woman on the basis of a single video. The only exception was Nilarko, his brother-in-law, who always supported Parna and helped her to overcome this nerve-wrecking situation. I will stop here and not dwell further on the story and give out spoilers.

Madhumita is a fine actress of this generation but I do believe that Sauraseni Maitra would have done a betetr job, probably. In some scenes, Madhumita could not emote well and fell a bit short. Rajdeep , in the role of her husband, does well.

Plot - Newly wedded Parna suddenly goes through a change of events when her MMS is leaked. The series basically deals with the trauma and struggles after the video is out.

Positives -

MADHUMITA SARKAR. Nothing to describe here. Her name is enough.

STORY. Apparently the story is well researched and has a great understanding of the situation. The series knows where to start and end.

PRODUCTION DESIGN. Not the best but very appropriate. It fits perfectly into the circumstances and supports the storyline.

Negatives -

DIRECTION. There's a difference in a web series and a film. The way the series should've turned out it didn't turn that way. However its not bad but definitely improvements are necessary.

SCREENPLAY. Ideally the series could've ended in five episodes but because the development is slow it makes upto 7 episodes.

OVERALL :- A good social drama and should be seen by everyone. The series is not focusing on abuses or adult scenes. It focuses on its message till the end. And also the brilliant performance of Madhumita!

I don't know about others , I liked the way the narrative of the show was unfolding. It was subtle and close to reality. In real life human do react the way it was portrayed in the series.

PS: Watch-out for Last episode ... itz too good.

Ofc, they're promoting premarital sex in this series. Nothing wrong with it. But the girl lecturing women at the end to sleep around like ho es and shame your husband when he asks about it is cringe. We don't wanna live like you ho es. Some people prefer to stay virgin by choice till marriage nd they want a virgin bride too. Nothing wrong with that, it's our freakin choice. Like you cringe gold diggers keep wanting a 6', 6 figure salary, rich man for marriage and that's ok but somehow if we want a virgin bride when we ourselves are a virgin, it ain't ok? Nah nah, mate. Doesn't work like that..
