This film shines on every level ... beautifully shot and crafted, well written, and stellar performances bring alive the heartbreak that is dementia and family care. The film never talks down to its audience, or to its characters, yet showcases just how hard it can be for family -- especially adult children -- to take care of their cognitively failing reduced parents. Erik Champney's direction takes us on an amazing journey with all three of the film's main characters -- emotional brokenness and all -- to give us a sensitive portrait of the meaning of family under stress, while also sacrificing and doing their best.
