I the premise is dubious, I don't like the over the top perky hostess, and I don't like the format. Supposedly, the reason for this show is for craft ice cream makers to create a new Ben and Jerry's flavor, in yet another Food Network timed competition. The problem is it's fraught with the usual mistakes that go with those shows. I would think that for something as important as a spot in the B and J rotation they would put in a better, less formulaic effort. After all, I want to taste a new flavor where a chef has all the time in the world, not rushing to get it in the bowl before a buzzer goes off.
As to the hostess Molly Yeh, she basically has nothing to do other than licking cones, and she is not particularly funny or interesting. The producers seem so desperate to involve her that when the contestants are served some standard cones from a truck, they squeeze her in the way at the serving counter, only so that she can needlessly take the cone herself and then hand it to a contestant. Kind of strange considering she has no plan to eat it.
Of course, to attract the largest possible audience, they sprinkle in a celebrity here and there, because no molly Yeh show is complete without sprinkles.
Lastly, do they really need several one-hour episodes to get this done? How many celebrities will they need for fluff? How many more combinations of chocolate chips, nuts, caramel, broken cookies, bananas and peanut butter does the world need? And how many more times must the world endure Molly chirpilly mugging for the camera?

Ben and Jerry's has had some serious PR setbacks due to their blatant Anti-Semitism and Anti-Americanism. In my opinion, This is a weak attempt at trying to undo some of that. Epic Fail! They have alienated too many people and this annoying, pathetic B & J infomercial is not going to fix the damage that has been done!
Being a fan of contestant cooking shows, and a lover of ice cream, how could I not love this show?? Three words, Molly and Jet. Molly is so overly enthusiastic it comes off as fake and she has had nothing to add to the conversations. On the flip side, Jet is trying so hard to catch the contestants in a "gotcha" moment, he's annoying.
The show is just OK. But the cast is annoying especially 2 of the contestants. Ryan is the whiniest guy ever. Never happy with what he's doing and always complaining about the stars ingredients. Even though one of the hallmarks of Ben & Jerrys is chunks of various ingredients, Ryan says at least 5x an episode that he hates chunks !
And I find it gratingly hard to listen to Cesar who sounds like he got hit in the throat with a baseball bat.

I love the TV show, I think it is clean and fun for the whole family. I don't see why there is so much hate for the show. I personally watch Food Network TV Shows such as "Chopped" and "Kid's Baking Championship". I love that they took their recipes to the public to taste, I prefer that than the same judges to keep tasting the food. In regards to the reviews about the hostess being too "happy", there is nothing wrong with her energy, I found it refreshing. There was nothing phony to me at all, I recommend everyone to give it a try.
