A romance movie that isn't sickly sweet and formulaic. The script is better than many and the dialog is natural, not formulaic and stylized. The two leads are good as are the rest of the cast. Don't know where it was filmed, I assume Aruba which is beautiful.

I saw this on GAC Family but it's older than that network, but it fits their model perfectly.
This movie is a slight variation on the nanny premise and in this case the nanny is accepted by the child without any problems. There really isn't any animosity between the leads but there is a ton of awkwardness early on. Unfortunately I didn't feel like that awkwardness disappeared long enough for there to be any chemistry. Actually awkwardness probably makes it harder to feel the chemistry than animosity.
The story doesn't really have any great highs or lows or surprises. Connor's history with his ex-wife unfolds so we know it pretty much by the middle of the movie. Connor's emotional scars from that are pretty strong and the inevitable conflict in the story is very predictable.
The acting is good. In fact, the actors play their daily roles so well that the dialogue seems mundane. I noticed only one good line about the windmills.
What stands out for this movie is the scenery which brings with it a little education about a variety of animals.
This movie is enjoyable for the easy going atmosphere and scenery. It is not exceptional.

Aruba is my favorite island and we visit every few years. I watched the movie for the scenery, which is so pretty and tropical . The story was formulaic and little chemistry between the leads. If want blue skies and blue seas and a taste of what the island offers than watch it. I'm trying to figure out which house they filmed at as I'd love to rent it for our next trip!

My summary line is sort of an inside joke my wife and I have. We watch Hallmark movies and a predictable feature is near the end we always get the "Hallmark kiss". Just one. This non-Hallmark movie has three of them!
For a simple, low-budget romance movie this one is very nice and entertaining. The dialog could have been trite but it isn't, it is well-written and the main actors seem genuine, especially the 10-yr-old daughter.
Premise is, divorced 50-ish man has to travel to Aruba for a wind farm project, being the start of summer he wants to hire someone to accompany him and care for his small daughter. He interviews 19 ladies before selecting one that is in fact a 4th grade teacher, off for the summer.
The movie is shot on location in Aruba, the woman and the young daughter hit it off very well, the dad is reluctant, still not over the fact his wife of 10 years abandoned them. But romance movies have a way of working things out.
Good movie, we enjoyed it. At home streaming FreeTV on Amazon Prime.

Love.in Aruba was a cute movie and shows the beauty of the Island. The only drawback is that it is focused too much on the theme of the use of Wind Power Turbines which is a FAILED source of alternative energy and one of the Worst. The Wind Turbines are not Cost Effective. The Turbines cost more the than the amount of energy that they produce. They are broken down more often than they are working. They are UNSIGHTLY A lot of birds are killed by the blades. The movie should have been focused more on the relationship of the people and the sights on the Island instead of trying to sell this Failed Energy Source as Viable, to the Audience.

What a charming and entertaining movie. Good clean family friendly movie with a great message of love can overcome all boundaries. Granted the movie has its clichés, and pilot is very predictable, but . . . For all of that, you really get into the move. The acting was great considering the simple script that was given, and the actors had to perform fleshing out their characters with some earnest to keep the character becoming flat on the screen. The music is a little less to be desired assigning itself to just background music and swells to crescendos at the right time. Who said that a romantic movie has to be raunchy one?

This summer vacation-set movie is realistic, portraying how hard it can be to start over after tough times. The characters and their situations are all relatable plus, despite the tensions, it is really relaxing, setting a good example of staying calm in difficult situations. Sometimes you just gotta be brave and will have the most amazing time! Also, I love these small-cast pandemic-filmed shows - far more like everyday life for me than big ensembles / party scenes etc. All the actors were good, and I'd happily watch more like this. Big thanks to the film company for making it free to view on YouTube.

It has a good premise which flings the couple together, but they don't gel and it's only Hallmark quick-fixit scriptglue that joins them together at the end.
While it's realistic that Connor is awkward about how to relate to a beautiful live-in help (and where does a responsible employer draw the line?) McConnell delivers a one-note awkward wooden, work-nerd characterisation throughout - what Sashleigha is supposed to see in him is beyond me (and we won't explore the 20 year age gap between the actors.) And if after all the years he's been working in alternative energy, the fact that he hasn't worked out how to sell his product to a reluctant public suggests he's a man of little imagination. No wonder his wife left him!
It's like watching a tip-top table tennis player try to make a match with a guy holding a tennis racquet stuck on the baseline - one hopes that Sashleigha has a more lively sparring partner in her next love-match!

Absolutely LOVE Sashleigha Hightower in everything she is in. It is a really personal story line and all the actors were very believeable in their deliverance. Sashleigha and the little girl were just adorable and chemistry was very authentic, Very personable movie. The hurt experienced by the male lead is real and transfers off the screen really nice. Although the storyline has been recycled dozens of times, their relationship grew and progressed in a great way. Really like Shae. Robins is another strong character in the movie and she is strong in most of her movies as well, really enjoy her also. Sashleigha is such an authentic actress in all her roles, I believe, because she is a phenomenal mother in real life. She is very genuine in her roles because she is very genuine in real life.

The two lead characters would make the most dull couple imaginable. If they went on a first date, I am certain they would end it with a handshake. It's a decidedly unromantic romance movie. If you squint hard enough, you might be able to see one or two forced sparks fly, but I almost want to talk them out of it rather than cheer them on. I would especially want to know from Amber what she sees in Connor.
That said, the overarching plot and background scenery keep this movie watchable. I thought the child actor did a good job in her role, and her interactions with the leads were much better than is usual in this genre.

This was a really cute movie there was a couple drawbacks though they focused more on wind turbines and when they to the beach or other places nobody was around I mean surely they could have used some extras just walking around so it didn't look so the main characters didn't look so out of place.

If you have something else better to do, just skip this. The acting is mediocre and no chemistry among the actors. Character development is horrible but the landscape scenaries are awesome.

Start out by saying beautiful scenery. Loved the environment aspect of windmills. Wish they'd spoken a little about animal safety and windmills.
Low key love story about a damaged man and his daughter, Macey. He hires a teacher, Amber. For the summer to watch his daughter in Aruba. Amber and Macey spend their time exploring Aruba. Eventually the father attracted to Amber and struggles with his attraction and the desertion of Macey's mother.
Not the typical drama type "Hallmark" movie (yes, I know GAF, not Hallmark), but more realistic.
Lovely movie, great scenery, and loved all the animals.

I love Hallmark movies, but this one is so boring, that I needed 3 days to finish it. I watched it 'till the end hoping to see more landscapes, that's all this movie can offer.
There is no chemistry between the lead actors and their acting is so dull, without soul. I don't know if they always act like this, but in this movie unfortunately are acting like 2 begginers. The little girl is acting much better than this 2 lead characters.
And this beautiful island looks like is abandoned, like no one is living there, and no tourists are visiting. For example the scene where the lead actress and the girl are at shopping for a present. The scene is filmed in a shopping area, but no one is around. I think that most of the movie is filmed in studio and is so bad.
The idea of the movie is almost good, but that's not enough. With other actors I think that could have been better. Who selected these 2, made a bad decision.

Definitely one of the best within this genre. The general storyline is believable, as is the two subplots. The actors play their roles well, and have decent lines to speak. I thought they were pretty believable. The pacing is reasonable. I wasn't quite sure the chemistry got truly developed between the main characters, but I have seen worse. The secondary couple were spot on. Of course, the location was a big factor too. I love when Hallmark spends a bit more to film on location. And this worked perfectly for this movie. They were able showcase the island without it seeming contrived. And you even get to learn a thing or two about ostriches.
