As Aventuras de Tadeo e a Tábua de Esmeralda

Whilst excavating a tomb in South America, would-be archaeologist "Tad" discovers the most unlikely of objects - an Egyptian mummy. Derided by his rather academic colleagues, he is sent back to Chicago where his apartment is full of treasures that he has been obliged to keep under wraps - one such antiquity being an enthusiastically alive Aztec mummy called, well quite aptly - "Mummy". When his erstwhile colleagues discover this sarcophagus and return it to America, he - armed with what he thinks is a key, and assisted by his friend "Sara" manages to get into the museum, open the coffin and release.... Soon all human life is at risk, and they must race to obtain the sacred emerald tablet that will fulfil the dearest wish of it's owner - for good or ill! It's derivative. Yes. Loads of "Indiana Jones" style scenarios with bits of Brendan Fraser's "Mummy" thrown in too. Indeed, the score reminded me very much of the latter series (and of a Turkish Delight ad). The characterisations are all about the usual loyalty, friendship, teamwork and determination - ideal fodder to leave the youngsters in front of. The animation is adequate, and the story moves along apace with plenty of action to keep it skipping along nicely for just short of ninety minutes. It benefits from an engaging story and though really quite forgettable, I did quite enjoy it.

Inferior sequel with lots of noisy action , humor , charming characters and funny scenes that have the rare quality of appealing both to youngsters and adults , but on different levels . This wonderful film is plenty of fantasy , adventures, spectacular feats and breathtaking scenarios , shot in 3D Computer Generator . The picture is narrated with imagination and sense of wonder and turns out to be entertaining enough , as it is apt for small kids and adults , too . It has neither graphic violence , nor profanity , but entertainment and amusement . Tadeo (Spanish voice by Barberan) is a Chicago building worker who has aspirations to be a prestigious archaeologist and adventurer just like his hero Max Mordon . Nowadays , he goes on his dream to become a famous archaeologist and while he is studying archaeology to graduate. One day, Tad accidentally unleashes an ancient spell, endangering the lives of his friends Mummy , Jeff, and Belzoni. With everyone against him and only helped by Sara (voice by Michelle Jenner) , he sets off on an adventure to end . Tad realizes that the mummy of Paititi who was banished from the Inca city is again to help him . Tad to travel Egypt with his dog Jeff and the mummy . Then the most botcher adventurer , Tadeo , teaming up with the mummy , the dog Jeff , and Belzoni (a grouch and clever parrot who is capable to communicate by using show-bills) set out in search for the Emerald Tablet . As soon as they arrive in the historical Egypt , there takes place a great number of pursuits , mayhem and surprising discoveries at the pyramids . Later on , Tadeo along with his dog , mummy , Belzoni (Sara's pet) and Sara take on several dangers , risks and adventures . Get ready for a great adventure !. No whip, no gun...All fun!

Very amusing and agreeable computer generator movie compellingly realized in magnificent visual style . The awkward adventurer Tadeo , the construction worker , began like a parody of Indiana Jones, but after screenplay began to develop his own personality and became a visual comic . The plot is plain and simple , here Tad Jones forming team with Sara , Mummy , the dog Jeff and parrot Belzone (Sara's pet that talks to people by means of show-bill) and all of them will travel all around the world attempting to find fantastic archeological objects . This is a high quality film plenty of adventures , fun situations , humor with tongue-in-cheek , fantasy , resulting to be extremely amusing and including a catching musical score by Zacarias M. De la Riva . Tadeo character is a blending between known Indiana Jones and a popular hero from Spanish comic books called ¨Super Lopez¨ . This Tadeo Jones adventure has surprised me on so many levels that I actually rated it higher than the recent Disney/Pixar films . Sensational and fantastic tale , it's a masterpiece computer generator movie , a great animation with surprising situations and funny happenings ; however , being inferior than two previous entries due to a jumbled script without much sense and ridiculous situations . It contains a real attention to detail in every shot is simply staggering ,and on top of it all it is a very nice-looking movie . One of a kind , if you enjoy attractive stories and have a soft spot for likable characters and nice scenarios, you are in for a great one . Excellent production , lavish and colorfully realized similar to a Hollywood product . In addition , an amusing story with attention to period detail and a great technical quality . This is the long running to sympathetic character previously appeared in the short films titled "Tadeo Jones" (2004) and its sequel "Tadeo Jones and the basement of doom" , all of them won more than 25 national and international prizes, including the Goya Award for Best Spanish animation film . This ¨Tadeo Jones 3. La tabla esmeralda¨ (2022) is also the sequel to ¨Adventures of Tadeo Jones¨ or "Tad, the Lost Explorer" , it is a big step ahead in production quality when compare to its predecessors . The best was the first entry that was followed by ¨Tadeo Jones 2: El secreto del Rey Midas¨ in which Tadeo to find and free Sara and vanquish millionaire Rackham before he receives all power of necklace to become in gold anything he touches and finally ¨Tadeo Jones 3. La tabla esmeralda¨(2022)

This stunning trilogy with appropriate runtime , converted the first of any kind to gross over the box office in Spain and all over the world . The motion picture was splendidly realized by Enrique Gato. The movies achieved several prizes , such as : Cinema Writers Circle Awards, Spain ,Winner CEC Award : Best Animated Film , Enrique Gato and David Alonso ; Gaudí Awards Winner : Best Animated Feature , and Goya Award : the best animation movie . Rating : 6/10 worthwhile watching ; advisable to see for kiddies and adults who appeal the splendid C. G. drawings . Great family fun, although predictable and somewhat a parody , this movie has a plot to hold a child's attention.

I really enjoyed the first 2 Tad... but this one I find really annoying, superbly annoying.

From beginning to end it's "oh, I messed up", and from there goes the story.

To me, is a dumbed down version of Tad movie. The mommy is constantly messing up, Tad is constantly messing up as well.

It might be enjoyable for kids, but I'm not a kid and I like "intelligent" story. But no. From start to end, its "oh, I made a mistake", "lets go to plan B", "oh, I made another mistake", "let's go to plan C". Pffff

Even the voice track is dumbed down with "oh", "ah", "euh" to fill up the silences.

But the animation, the visuals are just great. But without a supporting script.

I'm not a movie reviewer. This is my genuine appreciation of this Tad.

The film tells about an explorer who finds an Egyptian sarcophagus that was destroyed from the pyramids of the Incas in Mexico, and begins his journey to discover the reason, and on the way he meets the mummy of an Egyptian queen named Ra Amun. Oh, they brought her normal light skin and greenish-hazel eyes, and they were bringing in the first movie, King Khufu, whose skin is normal wheat, and They ride an Egyptian plane to go to Egypt, and the plane has Horus written on it and the eye of Horus is drawn on it in golden color, and they go to Aswan and it will be really magical.

Really excellent story line.
