The Furious Flycycle

Melvin wants to be an inventor. Despite the cluelessness of his parents and the warning of the genius inventor who lives in town, he will not be stayed form his course. When his uncle, aunt, and cousins are lost in the woods, he hops on his flying bicycle and heads off to rescue them.

Based on a book by Jan Wahl, this cartoon is blighted by the blotchy, ugly artwork of the period, as well as an ill-modulated and breathless narration by Sparky Marcus. Completists will want to endure it for voice work by June Foray and Hans Conried.
