This short film was nearly a decade in the making. Back in 2012, Edward T. Jones had written the first draft while in Acting School, with the intent of it being a fun little project for himself and a fellow classmate at the time. As soon as principal photography had started though, the cameraman fell ill while shooting the first scene, left the set, and was never heard from again. Then, during the summer of 2021, principal photography went underway and was completed. Unfortunately, shortly after the director had moved back to Calgary, he had a falling out with his producing partners who kept all the raw footage and audio to themselves; Killing the project while in post-production. Fast forward to the summer of 2022 with a freshly revised draft, inspired determination and a whole new cast and crew, writer/director Edward Jones finally got to finish the project, even handling and overseeing post-production duties himself.
Production was designed to have some action drone shots for the chase scenes, but on the first day of principal photography, the director accidentally flew the drone into a brick wall.
The tooth used for the shot of it being spit out onto the parkade pavement, was in fact not a made prop but an actual tooth, courtesy of the director when he got his remaining wisdom teeth removed the year prior.
The dress that the character Riley wears at the beginning of the movie, was actually designed and tailored by the actor herself, Nikki V.
When filming the ending scene in the underground parkade, staff of said parkade was not made aware by their employers that a film production was taking place. So when one of their front-desk concierges was doing his routine checkups around the area, he came across the leftover bloody mess that was yet to get cleaned up, and had thought an actual murder had taken place.
