Resumo
Reviewers say 'Borat's American Lockdown' elicits mixed reactions. Some applaud Sacha Baron Cohen's humor and character, deeming it hilarious and insightful. Others criticize it for being overly political, targeting specific groups, and lacking the unbiased humor of his earlier work. Disappointment arises over perceived loss of originality and failure to present coherent arguments or engage audiences effectively. The film is noted for riling up political groups, which some find amusing while others see it as a missed opportunity for broader, inclusive humor.

The series is funny but more importantly it's really getting all the magat cultists riled up who think evidence based medicine is a liberal conspiracy so that's always nice.
Cohen, I grew up watching you as a young lad, staying up late to watch Ali G on channel 4, loved everything you have previously done, poking fun at the rich, famous and privileged, getting them to make fools of themselves. It appealed to everyone's mischievous side and the humour was quick and witty but this!? Punching down on the most down-trodden and oppressed, laughing at the legitimate concerns of ordinary marginalised people and offering no real evidence to disprove any of their beliefs. This program is a complete embarrassment to your previous work, wheeling out old beloved characters to try and galvanise support for a bunch of corrupt politicians and elites...
What on earth have you become!?
This was hilarious. If you like Borat then you know what to expect. People are making it seem like its absolute trash, it really isn't, it's got a few good laughs.
The educational part is so disappointing. How could someone miss such a great opportunity to give coherent and understandable arguments. The extended scenes beyond the movie were fun and set a high expectation for the rest of the show. Then they sat down to disprove different points and sure they do but not in a way anybody would want to listen to them. If you're already in agreement with the points being made you already understand them. If you did not understand the points being made, you would have to be paid to watch this. It just isn't interesting. It isn't grabbing. And it definitely is not going to convince anybody of anything. What a wasted opportunity. They keep leading up to an episode with Hillary Clinton and then when you get to that episode it is such a letdown compared to the expectation of an intellectual explaining her position. I easily could've written into that better humor to make the point that would've actually humanized the situation. I don't want to give any spoiler but the actual argument to be made about that conspiracy theory is so easy to make. Well that's the hint to the non-spoiler. It is so easy to make.
Great character and still very funny, story line in this one is weak.
