Lets be honest.
Korean television shows are 99% this: Two people who first don't like each other falls in love. The end.
This, is a different beast however.
The greatest part of this show is the smaller stories told in each episode. Regret, resentment, grief, Losing a loved one, losing a parent, losing a child.
And it hits you hard.
It's been a while since I've cried this much.
The actors are really really good. Everything about the production is top notch (for a television budget).
However the strength of the show is the television format. This would have made a good movie, but the longer runtime allows it to become something great. It allows it to tell not just one story, but multiple stories woven together as well as having a main story as it's core.
It's really really really well written and acted out brilliantly. Baek Hyun-joo as Chang Hwa-mo (the restaurant owner) gave one of the most believable performances I've ever seen.
The only reason I'm not giving this 10/10 is this: It's not long enough.
Unlike shows like 'The sopranos' that ran for over 6 season. This is a stand-alone single season with 16 episodes. That is still over 10 hours and probably one of the most rewarding binges I've sat through for a long time.
The first episode however is a little bit weak. So if you're reading all of the positive reviews here and start watching without feeling convinced. Do yourself a favor and keep watching, it gets better and better. And better.

Obvious low budget sets, but great use of it. I loved Jang Na-Ra's acting. It was almost empowering. Just enough twists and turns for one to enjoy. Oh not to forget. Interesting genre.
An exorcist who is a real estate agent deals with ghosts who prevent buildings meeting there retail value. She becomes involved with a con artist who without realising has psychic ability and may help her free her mother who has become a vengeful ghost and stays by her side. The exorcist is played by Jang Na-ra and the conman by Jung Yong-hwa who do a sterling job as do the superb supporting cast. The plot is clever where they deal with tragic ghosts who refuse to leave as they have unfinished business, there is also a storyline running through the series of the connection between the two leads and the death of her mother. An enjoyable well paced series which is worth a watch and will draw you in with the sad stories of some of the vengeful ghosts.
This supernatural Korean drama is centred on Hong Ji-ah, an exorcist and real estate agent who specialises in selling haunted properties, and Oh In-beom, a conman who persuades people that their properties are haunted to he can sell dubious equipment to them. Inevitably they meet on a job and she discovers that he is actually a psychic; somebody who can be possessed by a ghost so she can exorcise it. After her regular psychic is hurt she ends up working with Oh In-beom despite not approving of how he operated before they met. Early on in the series there are several individual spirits to be exorcised but as it progresses stories that started in the background become the centre of the story; these include finding out what happened many years before during an incident that led to the death of Hong Ji-ah's mother and Oh In-beom's uncle. There is also the problem of an unscrupulous developer who wants the neighbourhood cleared.
I thought this was a really enjoyable series. As is so often the case in Korean dramas there is a fair amount of comedy; this is amusing and mild; never getting in the way of the drama. The story plays out well with early episodes nicely introducing the key characters and showing how the exorcist and psychic work together to deal with the various ghosts. These ghosts are suitably creepy, especially the far more dangerous 'egg ghosts'; rare apparitions that cause numerous deaths in the areas they haunt and are almost impossible to exorcise. The special effects for these are pretty good. The cast is impressive; most obviously Jang Na-ra who plays Hong Ji-ah and Jung Yong-hwa as Oh In-beom. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to fans of supernatural dramas.

There is no romance and that's a first. This drama is a horror drama with comedy. It's really entertaining and fun to watch. Its storyline is simple but it never gets boring or cliché. It shows a new way of exorcising ghosts and they have done a good job at that. It also gives importance to the life of every character in the show. Overall, it's a simple show that you can watch without getting bored.
