Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend

I've absolutely adored watching the restoration of Angela and Dicks chateau but the "Make do and mend" series was brilliant!

I'm now going to have a go at refurbishing a lovely old chair, getting stuck into some painting, completing some pesky sewing projects, finishing my tea cosy project and hanging macrame plant holders.

The words from Angela ring in my ears "just have a go"! So a big thank you to you because I've finally come up with a cunning plan and fixed my wandering toilet seat of two years, with a length of steel rod and three small cable ties. Works like a dream! I've gradually changed that voice in my head that says "you can't do it", by watching both Dick and Angela overcome huge obstacles during their renovation, with a positive voice that says "yes, you can!"

I particularly loved the make do and mend series because I love recycling old stuff, Op shopping and reinventing. A big thanks to you both, I have my passion back! Yoohoo !!!

Love these people and there children it brings joy to me to see them I love the chateau I wish them all the blessing in the world great show keep going looking forward to more love how angle and richard creates something out of nothing they have a real talent you guys love each other with so much love it's so good to see can't wait to see pool get done looking forward to Sundays in Australia sitting back and watching Sunday afternoon a little look into your chateau love the gardens too with all the fruit trees and animals I just can't wait to see it every Sunday afternoon I think about it all week.

They obviously can't do anything until wait for the pay check from channel 4 therefor they basically just do nothing. They've lived there for years and have done nothing but make bedrooms look horrendous. The house looks exactly the same as the day they moved in. To sum up this show is a huge wasted opportunity
