The Good Fight

James Edward Holley hits one out of the park! The entire cast did a great job with this moving film. Each of us has battles and we have to do what is necessary to conquer them. Alyssa Poindexter and Tyler Caplinger do a fantastic job with the sub story line. This is a Christian based movie and is family friendly. You do not want to miss it. Great to see John Schneider back in film. His character is entertaining. The fact that this movie was shot locally also makes it worth a view. The scenery is breathtaking as always. Cannot wait to see what James does next. Also excited to see where this leads my daughter Alyssa Poindexter. She did phenomenal in her first feature film. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! You will not be disappointed!!

I am blown away at how well this movie was done! James as Chief was amazing! His emotions come through with his part. I really enjoyed Tyler's character and his "goofy" personality! Nora nailed the role as a wife and mother struggling to figure out what direction her family was going. You could see the sorrow in her eyes in the beginning and the joy in the end. The little girl, Eastynn, who plays Riley, was adorable! I could hear the audience "awww" during her scenes and others say how cute and how well she did. It's not a beat you over the head with a bible movie, it's a must see for sure! Great for all ages!

Not only is this a film that was just about completely made within a beautiful, small town; Huntington, West Virginia, but it's just a fantastic film. A fantastic film that was created in, by, and for the people of Huntington and West Virginia. But, this film is for everyone. It checks all the boxes. It's got heart. I laughed. I cried. I was proud to be from West Virginia.

In particular, I was wildly impressed with the acting of one Alyssa Poindexter, whose charm, warmth, grace and humor literally jumped off screen every scene she was in. She is adorable and powerful at the same time, I won't spoil anything for anyone, you'll have to go see it yourself!

In the end this is a must see for the entire family, I hope each and every person fighting for what's right in their lives can see this movie and join in every moment of seeing ordinary people fighting extraordinarily Good Fights.

Loved this movie!!! Great family movie, mild Christian based showcasing a boxer who puts drinking and hanging with friends before his wife and little girl. After several issues stemming from his drinking, he realizes what is important in life.

The characters did an amazing job! Mom's emotions showed through with how heartbroken she was, the little girl Riley was adorable and played the part flawlessly missing her daddy! John Schneider was wonderful in this movie! He showed an outpouring of community support during the premier showing in Huntington WV area g in the General Lee. Glad to see all the public support around this movie, hope there will be more movies to come!

This movie gives WV a positive vibe and spin! Great job!!! Highly recommend!

This was like a lifetime movie that was so bland even that network passed on it. It's so lame, generic and boring that even free streaming networks like Tubi or crackle passed on it.

Some other reviews described this movie as "mildly" Christian themed but I would suggest they do not understand the meaning of the word mildly. It's not subtle at all. They beat you in the face with the Christian overtones from the moment it starts.

I will say that the scenery was beautiful. I'm obligated as a West Virginian to mention our gorgeous views. I sure do hope at some point they make a movie here that doesn't suck.
