A Picture Perfect Wedding

This film came on directly after a government announcement about the Covid level 4 lockdowns and yet somehow even after that it was still the worst thing I saw all day.

The movie had the ingredients to create a good drama: a girl worrying about her career, a nasty would-be-sponsor, a love rival, a father-son incomprehension, etc.... Unfortunately, the script wanders around the issues, the characters are inconsistent and all dissolves into an end where meek people blend in a nirvana of senses. What could have been stimulating delivers sleep.

Considering the genre, you have to enjoy it for what it is.

Unfortunately it becomes very clear but not very fast that this movie was made at a time when human contact was limited.

So what follows re numerous awkward interacions between several characters.

Clearly there was some urgency to get this film out post hast but it's a real shame hat the producers didn't just sequester everyone so they coul at least speak naturally to each other.

Despite that though, there are a lot moment where you find yourself smiling about.

Also, there are some small twists from the cliche which will pleasantly surprise you.

I'd say still worth the watch - perhaps ignore that the actors are most likely wearing their own clothes.

No matter what the setbacks, amazing things can always happen, so hang on in there. If you like to watch at the portrayed time of year, this story is set around August 12, as the Perseid Meteor Shower briefly features. I actually fell asleep watching it the 1 st time and had to rerun it to watch. I felt the writer went down a list of necessary plot lines for writing romance movies and checked them off as he/she wrote. Nothing was remotely romantic nor enjoyable to watch, especially the lack of chemistry between the two leads. For me, the male lead came across as immature and his facial contortions during some scenes overpowered the dialogue. This really could have been an enjoyable movie with an interesting premise with a more experienced writer, director & cast. Most of this one was just silly. I did enjoy the location & house where filmed .
