...from this movie. Oh dear God who greenlighted this atrocity? It is rare rare rare for me to review anything without having watched the whole movie, but I simply couldn't make it. The acting is soooo awful...beyond awful. The script...was it written by AI? Because I don't think humans were involved with this at all. Even the actors...I don't think they're human, either. Because humans do not speak or behave like the people in this...oh how I hesitate to call it a film. The person who gave this thing a 10-I'm pretty sure they were being facetious, but the army of 1s fortunately have overcome that rating. As I write this, "The Dream Home" is at a 2.9. Here's hoping this drops it even more. It is absolutely atrocious. I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone waste their precious time on this unless they know someone in the cast.
The acting in this movie is absolutely dreadful, easily some of the worst I've ever seen. The characters feel like lifeless cardboard cutouts, completely robotic in their emotions and interactions. Their words come out in a monotone, with no variation or genuine feeling, and their facial expressions and body language don't align with what they're supposed to be feeling. The reactions make no sense, and the writing is just as atrocious - completely disconnected from reality. On top of that, the background music and sound effects are mismatched and jarring, as if handled by a complete amateur. It's not even laughably bad - it's just painful to watch. Everything about this movie lacks cohesion, effort, and heart. An absolute disaster from start to finish!
This was such an amazing movie and the experience I had watching it. There were tears, laughter and fright. I am happy that I found this movie. It has truly changed my life and how I view the world. The actors were just so good and really made me immerse myself into the movie. I really felt the emotions that the actors portrayed throughout the film. And the jump-scares? The best jump scares ever, I was so scared every single time. If you haven't watched this movie already, I highly recommend it. It will truly changed your life. I was not disappointed watching it and I can promise you, you will not be disappointed either.
It is alright to consume time. There were a few things that seemed like it was leading to a climax or some sort of peak in the movie and it just didn't follow through. Wasn't acted very well but not too horrible either. I didn't hate it or dislike it but u wouldn't watch it again either. It didn't seem that poorly filmed but it wasn't abnormal good either. Some parts were a little repetitive and lead absolute no where. I truly have no idea what the purpose of this movie was. It seemed like it might have been trying to leave you on a cliffhanger but we didn't even get to the cliff so it was just Meh.
This movie comes across as if a high school forced their students to make a movie. No effort, no skill, no talent. Struck me like it was written, acted out, and edited together in a few days. It's funny that one of the factoids for this film is that the two leads are actually married. They had so little chemistry, I thought they were porn stars. They are both very pretty, I'll give them that.
The ghosts are the two titular characters in grey makeup that wouldn't have been scary when I was two... No set, just their house... I could go on and on, write an entire book about every little thing the film failed to do. Not going to do that though. Everyone involved with this thing didn't care, so I don't either.
