The first sentence says "75% of Americans believe in the paranormal". So, when the second sentence says "half of these people" they mean half of the 75% of believers in the paranormal believe they've experienced paranormal themselves. They're not saying half the people in the show don't believe they've had experiences. This reality TV show consists of Hollywood celebrities tell supposedly true stories of their paranormal experiences and run-ins with ghosts, through their interviews and reenactments by the show's actors. While many of the stories were creepy and thrilling, some even downright bone-chilling like Scott Patterson's story about him and his friend running into a devil-like creature in a haunted prison, I believe a good number of the stories were embellished or exaggerated.

Even as a believer of ghosts myself, I think some of the celebrities' stories were just too incredible to be authentic. But, it's still quite an entertaining show and it does give all that vibe of suspense and chills that will at times make the hair stand on the back of your neck.

My problem with all these ghost storie shows. As the noise. It's obnoxious, they try to make them far more intense than they are, and it doesn't work. If the story isn't chilling enough with out background noise, it is not scary at all. This one is the worse with the background noise, it comes off like it's in the foreground you can barely hear the stories at all.

I absolutely love this show. Having had a few paranormal encounters myself, I was once a skeptic, so watching Celebrity Ghost Stories was fascinating. It was refreshing to hear others, some of whom were also skeptics, share their personal experiences with the supernatural. What I particularly enjoyed were the stories from celebrities who moved into old Hollywood mansions previously owned by late stars. It's easy to understand why they might encounter paranormal phenomena in such settings, and their accounts felt genuine and eerie.

Out of all the episodes, there was only one story that seemed a bit fabricated, but otherwise, most of the tales were believable and chilling. In fact, I can't watch this show alone! I always watch it with family and friends, and I've introduced several of them to it. Like me, they got hooked immediately.

If you're into true crime, murder documentaries, or shows like The Ghost Inside My Child and I Survived, then I highly recommend Celebrity Ghost Stories. It has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. If you haven't seen it yet, you definitely should-especially if you love a good scare!

These stories are just the right 'weight' to me. Some spooky aspects, but almost always, a lot of time has passed since these people experienced their events, and they're pretty circumspect by now and have neat conclusions about what was the purpose or conclusions to draw.

Most of these people are used to conveying drama, so at first you might think, Oh, so they're putting on. In most cases - not really! I find them fascinating, and love watching these reruns. Was happy to see that a few of the other reviews are written 10+ years after the show was produced, like mine is. Really recommended. Additional kudos to the people who did the visuals that illustrate the stories. I'd love to talk to some of the folks who worked on this show. Thanks!
