This reality TV show consists of Hollywood celebrities tell supposedly true stories of their paranormal experiences and run-ins with ghosts, through their interviews and reenactments by the show's actors. While many of the stories were creepy and thrilling, some even downright bone-chilling like Scott Patterson's story about him and his friend running into a devil-like creature in a haunted prison, I believe a good number of the stories were embellished or exaggerated.
Even as a believer of ghosts myself, I think some of the celebrities' stories were just too incredible to be authentic. But, it's still quite an entertaining show and it does give all that vibe of suspense and chills that will at times make the hair stand on the back of your neck.

Grade B-
My problem with all these ghost storie shows. As the noise. It's obnoxious, they try to make them far more intense than they are, and it doesn't work. If the story isn't chilling enough with out background noise, it is not scary at all. This one is the worse with the background noise, it comes off like it's in the foreground you can barely hear the stories at all.
Good basic content with believable witnesses (Tick)
Ridiculous flashes of sound and evil images. (Cross)
Who goes ghost hunting with all the lights off? (This is pure Goat Rope)
I've seen two demons (Ghosts, Spirits) physically manifest and they weren't my old auntie Nelly LOL The first thing I did, after telling them to get out in Jesus name, (and they immediately did) was to turn the light on. Believe it or not LOL
All the above produces an end result of "Why am I watching this 'reality' program that has all the appearances (excuse the pun) of a Hollywood drama.
PS I've chased demons out of people in broad daylight and in homes at night with the lights on.
50+ years as a preacher and evangelist with the gifts of discernment and healing. I mentioned this series last night when I preached as a reminder to the Church that we are living in a spiritual universe.

For the past few years on the Bio and A&E networks, there have been some truly eerie paranormal-themed documentary/reality series I have been watching, that have given my parents and I some of the most genuine creeps you can imagine. One of these shows is the fun interview series "Celebrity Ghost Stories", which almost feels like a classical campfire set-up.
The series is just what it sounds like- each episode a few celebrities (ranging from Z-grade "actors and TV-hosts to some surprising A-list big-names and classic film actors) each get 10-15 minutes to explain a major paranormal event from their lives that made them believe in ghosts and the other side. These interviews are done in classic "talking head" view, and are almost always inter-spliced with snippets of dramatic re- creations of the events.
For the most part, the stories are almost always thrilling. The atmospheric re-creations of the stories are well shot and edited, and the music and ambient noises are unsettling. In addition, there is a great variety in the celebrities who have appeared, including Joan Rivers, Alice Cooper, Tracey Lords, Joe Pantoliano, Daryl Hannah, David Carradine, Taylor Hicks, Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Patten.
There are some downsides, though. For starters, some of the stories do drag, and some of them clearly shouldn't have gotten onto the show. A few of them really felt like filler. In addition, this isn't really a documentary series so much as just a collection of stories. This show doesn't do much to provide evidence for the paranormal. It's a show by- believers, for-believers. So if you don't believe in ghosts, the other side, or the paranormal, you probably won't be able to get into it or enjoy it too much.
That being said, as a believer in some aspects of the paranormal, I find this show to be great fun and immensely scary at times. I'm giving "Celebrity Ghost Stories" a strong 8 out of 10 for the entertainment and chills it provides. If you believe in ghosts, give it a watch!

I for one have always liked scary tales, and classic moments that people remember of ghosts. And this little series "Celebrity Ghost Stories" is just fine as it interviews the well known as they tell about their haunting moments of the past! The stories are told thru react type footage and some of them are scary and others have crazy historical and regional backgrounds tied to the tales. And many many famous people have been haunted you have everyone from Dee Wallace Stone, Phyliss Diller, Adrienne Barbeau and the likes of Roddy Pipper, Harry Hamlin and Louis Gossett Jr. and even Regis Philbin. Wow it's always interesting to hear these stories it's one neat little series.
