This is the most profound and powerful film I've ever seen. I agree with everyone that salvation is the most critical thing everyone must check. Jesus is trying to save you from a literal hell. Please take everyone you know to see this film. Their salvation is at stake. This is why the Lord Himself said to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel" before he ascended.

I love how the lead character meets the historical characters from man's history while in hell. It's incredibly profound and creative. The entire movie is just a powerful epic statement on hell.

It's that important. Run, don't walk to watch this film.

I agree this is maybe the most hard-core Christian film ever made. And also agree it is very uplifting and will leave you in tears.

Ignore the haters. They're almost pathological. They come as "angels of light" pretending they're Christians, but complain about the green-screen? Are you kidding? We know who they are.

The film's acting was incredible, especially the lead actors like 'Legion' and 'Shane Badman'. The visual effects were stunning. Everyone in my church group loved this movie and all agreed it was one of the best Christian films they've ever seen....

10+++ is my score for this film. Absolutely overpowering and overwhelming film. I thought I wouldn't cry, but I did......you've been warned. God is a great God and I love Jesus and will serve Him for the rest of my life.

Jesus said if they 'hated me, they will hate you".

Ignore the haters. They try to get your guard down by saying 'they're Christians but the acting is terrible'. They're haters. They hate the Gospel. The Apostle Paul said "I didn't come in eloquence to preach the Gospel". This means the FAKE CHRISTIANS hate the Gospel and are always worried about the 'acting' proving they are not truly born-again.

To the film team, don't let these haters get you down. They're jealous insecure people much like what Jesus had to endure so long ago. These people who go to their graves having never made a film, but just criticize those who do.

Could a movie be any more perfect? This movie is just absolutely stunning in so many ways. Acting perfect, storyline perfect, soundtrack perfect, emotional drama perfect, everything about this movie is perfect.

The score of 7 is too low. This is because of the constant haters of the Bible and the Lord.

How am i supposed to describe this absolutely fantastic and unbelievable film in words? I don't know.

This movie is just bloody excellent - this is the consequence of rejecting Christ; brilliant, fantastic, unbelievable, not a thing wrong with it, shocking (in a good way), heck, pretty much every single good comment word you can think of.

The ending is just LIFE-CHANGING. Don't think you're going to heaven because you said the 'automatic' prayer. Even demons believe in God. You MUST have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

I cried watching this. As a pastor once said, "Our deprivity is shown in our inability to weep at our salvation."

This movie is meant to open our eyes and our hearts.

Powerful Christian film based on the novel. I have no words. This film needs to be seen by every single person before they die. It's that important

If you're prone to tears at a film, take extra tissues, you'll need them. The theater I was in was a mass of sniffles through the end credits.

The storyline is just too effective and great! Not only the storyline is good, the timeline order is the real key. If this movie was on chronological order, the movie would be half effective.

Flawlessly shot on perfect period sets, the whole production binds together to bring the extraordinary story into the realm of a believable and compelling study of the Bible and what it says after you die.

Just saw this tonight in the theater....incredible, speechless....you must see this film before you die....absolute one-of-a-kind Christian movie that will stay with you long after the film ends....loved every minute....my group of friends were literally glued to their seats the entire time...i was in tears at the end...all glory to our risen SAVIOR. I give this a 10+

This movie is POWERFUL and life changing. Why is that? Because it does not compromise the Word of God and it is so real....

Absolutely the whole counsel of God is shared in this movie. Nothing was left out, not the reality of Satan and his intentions, not the existence of sin, not the truth that all we like sheep have gone astray, not that our righteousness, apart from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is as filthy rags. It is all there, the truth shared with a pure heart fervently.

Finally, the Church can watch a movie that speaks faith and shows the hand of God in the lives of His people. Taking the Lord at His Word, living it, loving it, breathing it, memorizing it. Such is the bread of life!

For man shall not live by a baker's loaf alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The message of this movie is exactly that. Man must decide today, "Whom shall ye serve? God or mammon?" Choose this day. Don't wait. Now is the day of salvation, now is the accepted time.

If this country will, with a contrite heart, bow to the King of Kings and repent, and turn from their wicked ways, then will He hear from heaven and heal our families and our land!

This film is unbelievably bold for Christ. You won't ever find another movie in your lifetime, I believe, that is unabashedly unashamed of Jesus. The movie made you feel like you were actually there to witness this man's dream in hell.....the movie was so touching, it actually made a person cry... and believe me when I say this. People ACTUALLY came out of the theater crying after the feature was over! And I must admit, this movie did get me. Some scenes actually made me WANT to cry.

Powerful, riveting, touching, heartfelt, inspiring, shocking, brilliant, and simply a masterpiece...Journey to Hell gets a perfect score from me.

A lot of people told me about this. So glad I went to this. I'm speechless. You think it might be a depressing topic, BUT IT'S NOT. Please don't make the same mistake I made and think it's about hell. IT'S NOT. It's about how WONDERFUL it is that our SAVIOR took our place. If you believe in Christ, you don't have to go here. REMARKABLE MOVIE. TAKE YOUR UNSAVED LOVED ONES TONIGHT. DON'T WAIT ANOTHER DAY.

If you're avoiding seeing this film because it deals with hell, you are missing out on maybe one of the most powerful evangelical Christian films ever made. I promise you will leave the theater SOARING IN THE CLOUDS and thanking the Lord Jesus Christ!!! Go see it before it's gone!

WONDERFUL and POWERFUL movie

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16.

I've lost count of the number of times I have seen this movie, but it is more than 20. It has to be one of the best movies ever made.

Something that is outstanding is the fact that it has no real action, no special effects and no gimmicks. 99% of the movie is just men in eternal darkness talking. Yet it absolutely hooks you almost from the beginning and has you glued to the screen to the end.

For me what really makes this film one of the best is the message of eternal hope through Jesus Christ it conveys throughout. The never ever give up hope attitude of the main character so well conveyed by the lead actor. The ending is just spine tingling every time I see it, no matter how many times I have seen it.

Brilliant, brilliant movie and a must see for everyone.

EVERYONE should watch this movie. This movie is meant to open our eyes and our hearts. Yes it's a vivid story of a man who dreams he goes to hell. Imagine what it is like to actually go to hell? This is a great conversation starter to your non-Believer friends of salvation and how serious you take it. Jesus took seriously enough to die for you. I hope those who watch this movie are moved to know more about Jesus and how you don't have to die and go to hell. By dying Jesus paid the price for our sin. "but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel". 2 Timothy 1:10.

If there was such a thing as a perfect movie, this is it. Of course, for practical reasons, one cannot award a film ten stars out of ten, because of the endless stream of new work demanding scrutiny. I'd like also to start by quoting another well known film, which sums up my opinion nicely. 'In many ways, the work of a critic is easy- we risk very little, and thrive on negative criticism, which is amusing to write and to read. But the harsh truth of the matter is that the average piece of junk is probably more valuable than our criticism designating it so'. This could not be closer to the truth. When it comes down to the wire, critics risk everything in dishing out praise, for fear of being ridiculed themselves.

The people attacking this film are really attacking Jesus. They can't bear the Words of Scripture and go berserk.

'Journey to Hell' is an eternal masterpiece, timeless and inspiring. I avoid being clichéd, when it is at all possible to do so, but this film is beautiful, masterfully acted, with just that right amount of fright. This is a tale of what happens when you reject Christ, and the everlasting fight for justice on this earth. As with other films of the genre, one can tell what will happen, of course, but when you watch this film, you will time and again be genuinely surprised, and maybe even shed a tear for the persistence and unquenchable thirst of the human spirit and faith in God. One leaps for joy after watching this incredible film, at the knowledge that evil, in all senses of the word, can, and will never triumph.

Turning an eye to the technical side of things, just for a moment, I can discern not one single badly executed shot. Journey to Hell is well written, and, as I have said before, brilliantly acted. Characters that could be flat are all allowed to develop and flourish, and the film is even better for it. The film grabs our attention, right from the word go.

This is a deeply satisfying, wonderful, brilliant, fantastic, soulful and FAITH-BASED cinematic work. Watch it, if you haven't seen it, and if you have, you must agree that this excellent film will be an eternal classic.

Most refreshing, powerful, evangelical, stunning Christian movie possibly ever made. Great twist ending that all made sense. Thank you to my friends at my church who told me this was a must see film. I must do everything I can to help others come to Christ. God bless the filmmakers for their courage in making this extremely important and urgent movie on hell.

I don't want to die a 'Luke-warm' Christian and possibly miss eternity. Everyone has been warned. Not everyone who claims to be a Christian will go to heaven. Very sobering thought.

Journey to Hell is possibly my favorite movie ever. I had seen many Christian movies before it, and I've certainly seen a lot after, but not many of them made me feel what that one did. Now, I have that feeling again. And once again, it comes from watching a Tim Chey movie. I couldn't possibly explain the overload of emotions I experienced in the 1.5 hours it lasts. I have laughed. I have felt the emotions of every character in this awful eternal place. And most of all, I have cried at my own sins. Very few movies have touched me like this one. Is there something to say about the acting that hasn't been said before? No, it isn't. You may have heard it is flawless, incredible, whatever. You did hear right, it absolutely is. I can't think of anyone in the whole movie that wasn't convincing in the least. The script has its funny moments, but it's incredibly deep, poignant and heartfelt especially at the end. God is so merciful and good to us. He gives EVERYONE a chance. The characters are so "human" and unpretentious you can't help but understand their final plight. Journey to Hell is a movie I will hardly forget. You can't possibly forget such an emotive story.

Our entire group LOVED this film. We stayed and talked about this film before they kicked us out. NEVER had this experience before. This is truly a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME experience. Still speechless. I can't even begin to describe it other than it's a very powerful film that obviously has the hand of God on it. It calms you into really ENJOYING your salvation. I know that sounds hard to believe and again you have to see this film to understand what I'm saying. All I can say is watch this. If only one movie in your lifetime, THIS IS IT.

They should change the title to: "The Most Hard-Core Christian Movie Ever Made".

It was seriously brilliant writing and serious brilliant filmmaking. All glory to Jesus Christ. Anyone who watches this will agree. I truly believe the Lord made this film to warn people of a real hell and that He may be coming back soon with societal's evils at an all-time high.

You must see this film to understand what I'm talking about. I promise you and your loved ones will leave the theater completely changed people. The film affected everyone in my group. We must do better for the Lord. This film will open your eyes. It is a must see. Again, a must see.

I was watching this at the theater and people were glued to their seats way after the credits finished. Hugely uplifting film that will move you closer to Jesus in ways that nothing else will....

What a movie! What an experience! You'll want to watch this one over and over again. A powerful story of a man who dreams he goes to hell. All I can say is.....wow.

This is not just another Christian movie. It's about struggles that everyone faces in life. But knowing we will spend eternity in heaven. Not hell. It involves issues that everyone can relate to from financial challenges to faith to marriage. It will make you laugh and cry, but in the end it will make you realize that "all things are possible with God" and He loves us so much He sent His son to die on the Cross. You'll feel great when you leave the theater.

To me the greatest movie ever made, it has everything excitement, love, tears and superb acting, but most importantly everything is BIBLICAL. When I watch Journey to Hell, I notice that few Biblical epics of this level and quality have not been made since The Passion of the Christ. That's disappointing. I wish more Biblical epics could be made on this level. But for now, I'll be eternally grateful for the powerful epic that is Journey to Hell.

This can be a very sad film as well. I doubt if I've ever watched this without a few tears in my eyes at certain points. The scenes of Shane Badman in eternal darkness are still some of the most heart-wrenching scenes I've ever witnessed on film. They can just tear you apart.

The combination of drama, action and romance, along with very involving storyline is aided by an incredible soundtrack, once again one of the best ever put on film. The more one hears this music, the more was is moved by it.

Its a good movie. I like that they showed preeetty much how it really is in hell even thoe its a christian movie and they are cinda know for that they dont show explicit stuff. The acting is very good in my eyes but if someone would say that it is some times to much or a bit centered on religon I kinda have to agree BUT its a christian movie so what do you want. It has some very intense and funny parts and thats why i personally liked it even more. A very good movie to watch with the family. Aspecially with religios parents !!! Xd

BIG TIME PROPS for holding the values of Jesus that are challenged in these days and looked at if they would be the worst eeeever.

I´m not a big time reviewer and my english is sometimes still kind poor but I could talk about this movie for a while.

Saw this with my Bible study group in Hawaii and we all loved the film. We sat there like everyone else until after the credits rolled. We were all awe-struck how powerful the film was. Mahalo to the film people behind this movie.
