Entertaining and informative

Whilst the most well-known shipwrecks always captivate me, this series truly shines when it deals with some much more unusual tragedies at sea. I found particularly interesting centuries-old cases like the Raft of the Medusa, which inspired a famous painting and I had no idea about the history behind it. I also liked the concept of combining in each episode the stories of two different ships - grouped by their common reason to sink, the final outcome or the mystery around them - which makes them more information-packed and help you make connections between events that took place far away from each other in time or space.
