It's a decent standup special, but I didn't laugh quite as much as I did during some of his previous shows. Jokes complaining about a different generation are kind of dull for me personally, and that goes for older generations complaining about younger ones and younger generations complaining about older ones. He didn't really bring anything new or fresh to the table in this regard, in my opinion. The stuff about comedic boundaries changing was genuinely insightful and well done though, as it is something that the world is dealing with and trying to balance at the moment. Overall it's a decent way to kill an hour, but I was still a tiny bit disappointed.

A great improvement on his last comedy special, Intolerant is mostly more gigglesome than laugh-out-loud funny, but it's constructed and delivered far, far better than much of his recent work. And the bits about the mystery of women's lotions and millennials being the bigots of the future are both very well done.

I saw him perform this routine live in Birmingham in Dec 2019. It was better, and had extra jokes which appear to have been cut out, notably his Michael Jackson routine, which was the best bit! Legalities maybe? The special suffers for it, as it will be remembered as one of his weakest in comparison to his other releases, which is a shame, as his crowd work was great live. It just doesn't seem to have captured the magic from the night.

Jim is a good story teller. Material was average but disseminated in a way that allowed it to rise above itself.
Older comedians portraying themselves as victims of millennial culture is getting a little over done, Bill Burr/Ricky Gervais etc. Just spit out the edgiest jokes you have, we don't need the extended meta-commentary as a joke in place of actual jokes.
I would have given 8/10 but Jim was looking a little pudgy to me.

I don't know about these purists here that say this is sub-par Jefferies, to me, this was funny all along, which is what a stand-up is supposed to be.. I loved it!
Ps: I got the hots for Jim, so maybe I'm just too partial to like him.

This special has a few really smart moments. But in-between them are long winded jokes about how he needs to use the restroom. Which just wasn't funny.

Dont worry about all the bizarre bad reviews; people get their panties all twisted over political standpoints.
Theres no politics here; back to basics from Jim. Offensive but in his usual hilarious fashion.
Well worth a watch for all the fans.

The 2020 stand-up comedy special "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant" was definitely something of a crazy ride.
Sure, I have stumbled upon Jim Jefferies before whilst perusing stand-up comedy specials, and he is definitely a funny man. So of course, I needed no persuasion to sit down here in 2022 to watch "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant", as I stumbled upon it on Netflix.
And yeah, Jim Jefferies delivers once again. "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant" is a great and hilarious show from beginning to end. And I absolutely love the way he starts off a joke and a story, and then strays on to something else entirely, and manages to return to the original story or joke and finish it, while having managed to throw in something totally random but very funny still.
The material in "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant" was good and well-written. The way that he uses his own life as a basis for the punchline and builds upon it is just a stroke of genius. I was more than entertained throughout the course of this stand-up comedy special, and I had a great many good laughs.
If you enjoy stand-up comedy, then "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant" is definitely well-worth sitting down to watch.
My rating of "Jim Jefferies: Intolerant" lands on a seven out of ten stars.

Do yourself a favor: grow some thick skin and saddle up to some good old fashioned mockery. No one is safe from Jim. Because...shhhhh, he's a comedian. It's his job.

For a netflix special, this is well above the average. But for Jim, it's arguably his least funny special. He still has the hilarious delivery, but the jokes were weak and far between, most were actually just stories that didn't even lead to a punchline.
I don't know what happened there, I suppose netflix did what netflix does best and ordered him to scrap all edgy humor, so good ol' Jim tried to rely on safe stories... But yeah, pretty disappointing... Still worth watching though.
And what was with the airplane peanut allergy bit? We all know it was basically a recycled Ricky Gervais bit, except your version wasn't even funny. Is it so hard to tell an original joke? This special only has like nine jokes, surely they could've all been original.... It's not enough you steal jokes from Stanhope, now Gervais too. Have you become the male Amy Shumer now? Cause it increasingly feels like it.

Funny from start to finish. Reviewers here are rough---my god! What are you expecting. Yeah, maybe some of the material has been emitted by many comedians, but, the DELIVERY ----WOW! Jim has a way to go off on a tangent and then circle back to the main story to deliver the punch or conclusion in a genius way. I laughed out-loud so many times that I think other reviewers here watched a completely different special or were just in a piss mood. One of the best stand-up acts I've seen in a long time. Watch it, and, don't compare it to everything else--just enjoy the delivery and appreciate the magic! I can't wait to watch another one of his specials.

I can only assume by the 7/10 avg rating the intolerants are intolerant of intolerant!
Important to mention this is a bold work of unpopular truths in a time where possibly offensive truths are shamed instead of understood and respected (the bit about millennials is so true but also comedically excellent!) also one of Jim's most real and laugh out load specials since bare or freedumb (actually I bits reminds me of his offensively hilarious Edinburgh festival shows) I wasn't a fan of Jim's last special but he is back to classic form.. If you like to laugh at the state of the world and understand that you don't me to be a Saint to be funny , or right then you'll love this..
I you don't like comics that approach the line for maximum comic effect then please move on to Seinfeld etc and if you do watch and are offended then move on to something else and don't leave a review because it wasn't for you anyway. 😉

I kind of went back and forth between a 7 and an 8 on this one. The latter half of the show was very funny and Jim as always is a spectacular storyteller. I don't know where he finds these horrible women lol. And I will always be a fan of his comedy. He also has some funny anecdotes during the first half of the special.
If I had one criticism it would be how much time he devoted to the new comedian talking point of how woke culture has ruined comedy. He's not wrong but I'm just bored with comedians complaining about it. Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle have already talked it to death. SNL has already done a ton of skits. I watched Deon Cole storm out of a comedy club over it. Everybody knows millennials are too sensitive and I just want to laugh without having to hear all the whining about this anymore.
As comedians there are always going to be people who hate you and they aren't going to change their minds when comedians they already hate tell them to stop hating them. Sometimes you just need to put that aside and tell the jokes you want to tell and just realize that if some people don't like you for it that's their problem. Let the C word, fat and political shaming, and misogyny fly, Jefferies!
Sincerely, A millennial

I am 12 minutes 40 seconds into Intolerant, and already this stand up has solidified a spot on my top 10.
"Millenials are the worst people on this earth"
I have never felt a quote more true to the core of my being than this. Everyone hates you except other millenials, and Jim Jefferies is a god for slapping you in the face with reality.

When people ask why I like Jim Jeffries, I tell them "It's not so much that he uses the word c**t a lot, but rather, he helps people realize that most comedians don't use the word enough." For an anecdotal comedian, he really is a reliable laugh.

The jokes are recycled, and so predictable I'm honestly worried for the people in the audience laughing. Honestly, I don't think I've seen worse by Jefferies.

Jim Jefferies never disappoints. IMHO. I needed a laugh and this did the trick.
His timing, as always, was impeccable. His stories true and he says what we think.
My favorite was the one about Millennials. Cracked me up!
Enjoy!

Worth a watch. Not his best. Not his most edgy. Still fu**ing funny. All these people complaining about editing in his comedy tv show are just sad. News flash, every show has editing and it is typically not even the hosts choice. I think this plus his slightly less offensive style in this special has some lower grades. I still believe Jim Jeffries in general is a top 5 comedian and this is definitely worth a watch.

Compared to his early work, which I found genuinely funny, this felt very mainstream and safe.
He drops a couple of C words here and there, but even that felt forced, as if he was trying to stay 'edgy'.
