This is a show that talks lengths about underworld. It's a real story of a woman who challenged don. The actors have done a brilliant job and would give brownie points to the dialogue writers.

MX Player is a free platform and series of this scale is really revolutionary.

It's really difficult to be in a different league even after choosing the theme where hundreds of contents delivered in the Bollywood & Streaming apps in recent days but the plot was able to do complete justice.

Most of the actors are from the Marathi industry & had their impact & done fully justice to the characters.

Anuja Sathe fits well to the role. Chinmay Mandlekar was the center of attraction.

Veteran actors like Rajendra Shisatkar, Abhijeet Chavan & Vijay Nikam was the strongest link of the story.

Everything feels so real in the series hats off to the cast and the writer ... Though it is inspired by true events but still things move quite quickly in the series ... Excellent presentation and a must watch for movie lovers.

Both the seasons are mind blowing from start to end.. Twist and turns are awesome, though some of those were little much predictable..

Achha show hai no doubt but writing bhot sahi hai! This kind of Indain web series with everything done to the perfection has not been made before. This has exclusively set a new level. Don't miss it for sure.

A very good crime thriller, my be inspired by Bombay underworld crime from the 90s,the main protagonist portrayed her role to perfection as well the other characters also did a great job. This is originally a Marathi language web series I however watched the one dubbed in Hindi language,must say the even Marathi language web series are now coming with good subject and material. A big thank you to MX player as well.

Story is gripping and excellent acting of all the actors. Was initially skeptical abot the plot..but the story turned out to be a nail biting.

Story is nothing new and we have seen in many movies and web series about Mumbai gang war including police and Dawood Ibrahim. Series is in Marathi but titles for each episode in English ! Wow ! They don't have them in Marathi ? Shame on makers. Almost every scene having abusive words sometimes objectionable seems like they made series only for abusive words rather than a strong story. First episode is very dull and hopeless, laters are a little better. Transformation of Ashraf is unrealistic. Two or three episodes are only showing bar dance with bar girls dancing on every hit song of 80-90s. A lady journalist is so advance that she tells her co-worker to carry a box of condoms on weekend, drinking and smoking and arguing with her senior logically. Wow! What are those characters ? Many things are unrealistic makes this series nonsense watching. in character role only Chinmay Mandlekar impressed, rest are just for to complete filling gaps. Not recommended to watch, nothing new avoid as possible. Waste of time to watch meaningless 14 long episode story sufficient for only 2 hours. Between ads in later episode are irritated to viewers.

We have seen many movies and Webseries on underworld crime. But the way this Webseries has been directed gives you real feel of the underworld situation in Mumbai at that time. Tawade and Nana Mhatre has been played very well by both the actors. Must watch. Ashraf and other characters also has done well. A must watch.

Ek thi begum is a crime thriller series insoired from true events. Here are the positives and negatives:

Acting:acting is good. Anuja sathe has done a fine job. There is nothing exceptional or standout from the acting department.

Bgm and music:bgm is decent. Nothing extraordinary to be found. Music is good. The songs are really pleasing and melodious.

Writing:writing is better than season 1. Expansion of the script has been done which is commendable.

Lack of depthness: u will not feel any attachment or emotions for any character. There is null depth in the characters.

Thoungh it is better than season 1 but could hv been best.

The series is a must watch..... All of the actors have shown their marvelous potency of Acting, especially Vijay Nikam, Rajendra Shisatkar, Santosh Juvekar and Abhijeet Chavan.

The storyline is nail biting.

Very good acting by all the characters. Good biography in acted, OTT is giving good options to the viewers otherwise had to see few actors who don't know to act but hav big name.

Ek Thi Begum (Web series) review :

One of the best web series I've seen in a long time, Ek Thi Begum (Marathi/ Hindi) is aapla own version of Kill Bill (2003) (and I refer to the Tarantino classic here and not the Doordarshan wala Marathi program. Haha!).

Ashraf Bhatkar (Anuja Sathe) seeks revenge for the death of her gangster hubby Zaheer (Ankit Mohan) by a rival gang controlled by a Dawood styled Don (Ajay Gehi) operating out of Dubai.

From a loving docile homemaker to a scheming bar dancer, Ashraf's transformation makes for an exciting watch and though fourteen episodes long, Ek Thi Begum doesn't appear stretched at any point of time.

The performances are top class. Anuja Sathe shines in the lead role as Ashraf and her alter ego Sapna. She not only looks gorgeous but is also a super fine actor. Ankit Mohan leaves a solid impression even in a small role. The rest of supporing cast - Chinmay Mandlekar, Santosh Juvekar, Abhijeet Chavan and Rajendra Shisatkar- is commendable as well.

The 80s setting is accurately captured right from the movie screening in a chawl to the calendar on the wall; the attention to detail is just perfect. Director Sachin Darekar shows flair for gangsta genre with right blend of commercial elements and realism.

I normally refrain from reviewing web series but making an exception for EK Thi Begum as it was truly an enjoyable experience for me. The ending leaves ample scope for a sequel. Looking forward to it!!

To be very honest, MX Player's best ever series and probably also the most Fabulous web series who will make mx player in future.

A must watch gripping thriller on gang rivalry with police involvement

With few if and but, it's a decent watch. Both the seasons succeeds in keeping you intrigued. Few performances are good, and few are average but overall it's a fair deal. Good job done on screenplay, specially season 2.

Super webseries I liked it too much thriller webseries asfar akka acting is so much good so webseries is excellent.
