Tony Demenico, the creator of Petscop has said that there is a story that ties it all together, however there are likely too many missing details missing for someone to be able to figure out what he had in mind. He also said the following in the same interview:
"It's not a puzzle to be solved, and there is nothing that I would call a 'solution', I like ambiguity, not as a tease or a challenge, but as something that stands on its own."
