Itazura na Kiss

It starts out nicely but after a few episodes in, the protagonist (Kotoko) simply appears to be your run-of-the-mill 'girl obsessed with the hot guy' at school. She seemed to have a stronger character in the beginning but as it progressed, she appeared to be too shallow and honestly, straight up annoying at times.

Having said that, it's not entirely bad but not good either. It's simply average. You won't be missing out on anything if you sit this one out.

The anime is really different and unique. The plot moves on Kotoko , a girl lacking so called qualities for being a perfect women , having a crush on most popular guy of her school, Naoki Irie. Though Irie pretends to hate Kotoko, he is deeply in love with Kotoko. After many struggles, they get married . Then the story continues about their marriage life . I think everyone would like the perfect anime with happy ending.

Most "romance" anime's are toxic but this takes the cake. I doubt the point of this was to show the audience these awful traits to keep an eye out and change or and avoid them. And it definitely wasn't trying to show how some people move too quickly into choices they do not take a pause to think rationally about.

Toxic characters that don't improve: an obsessive girl with lowest of low self esteem. People she calls friends who are of no help (the type to feed your insecurities). They drop disappear and get replaced by somewhat decent colleagues. A boy how may be on the spectrum but still woahza he is an emotionally abusive piece of shait (he sort of softens up in a tiny way as an adult). The mega controlling helicopter mom.

I watched all but the last episode in hopes that something would improve with these sad and miserable people. All we start to see toward the end are glimpses of their lives with most of the toxic stuff no longer being displayed as much. But the main characters are still rushing through trying to make their relationship function. This show made me feel incredibly unhappy because it tried to come across as non-toxic. It reminded me of another sad drama anime called NANA.

Overall watch it or don't but if you're a kid please know that this is not a goal to set yr sights on. And do not let anyone talk down to you and make you feel small. But also if you are one of these toxic characters, do try to improve for the better.

Pretty decent anime. Worth watching if your bored. I love how the boys be Slapping the girls for no reason

Obviously meant as a romantic comedy, this delivers some comedy and some romance. I gave it a 6/10 purely on the comedy aspect. But don't expect anything too deep with the romance. I thought this might be an "enemies to lovers" type but it's really just a one sided love, and the main character (kotoko) is pretty irritating, and seems to have literally zero strong points which makes her super unlikable. After a while her blunders get annoying. They couldve developed the plot more and made kotoko less desperate, which is really cringe in and of itself. But i did watch all of it so theres that. If you want a casual show you don't really have to care about, then this is the show for you.
