Anyone who have experienced hearbreak will relate to the story. For being a short film I think it does a great job delivering its message effectively.
I saw it back in 2020 not really knowing what to expect and I recently watch it a second time which I enjoyed even more.
It has some humorous moments that bring levity to the grief/heartbreak main part of the story. It is also a very artistic film, a lot of face and body painting, and of course circus elements. Something that stood out for me was the music score which works very well with the emotional scenes.
I could not help to get watery eyes a couple of times; once from feeling the pain of heartbreak, and the second time from joy in understanding that heartbreak and lost are an opportunity to discover ourselves in new ways, to learn to love ourselves and others better, choosing to see the good in people and learning how to heal ourselves so we can be light to others.
I really hope Britt Lower keep writing/directing films because she is a great storyteller, and of course a great actress as well.
