Pierre-Luc Funk and Patrice Robitaille are accompanied by ghosts of two Expo members who were on the team's first season: Mack Jones and Gene Mauch. Mauch was the first manager and Jones was the first hero of the former Jarry Park baseball stadium, where the bleachers were named Jonestown in honor of all the home runs he sent to that part of the stands on the first season in 1969.

Jacques Doucet and Rodger Brulotte, who have cameo appearance, are known to be the main commentators (and references) to baseball in Quebec, as for over many years until the Expos moved to Washington, they were the descriptors of all Expos' game, mainly in CKAC 730 in Montreal (and broadcast throughout Quebec on the Telemedia network).

The other Major League Baseball teams which are referred here are the Cubs (as Martin's next door neighbor stayed in Chicago) and the St-Louis Cardinals, who were the Expos first visitors in Jarry Park baseball stadium on April 7th, 1969.

As the Montreal Expos were part of the story line, three former players were in this movie: Claude Raymond, Denis Boucher and Marc Griffin were part of the team. As the latter were all pitchers, Martin (Pierre-Luc Funk) was a pitcher at the climatic end of the movie.
