Money for Nothing

For petes sake can you shut the dreadful Arthur Smith up? His constant yacking, reminiscent of the awful Wonnocot, completely spoils this show. Shut up you stupid man.

Sarah is the definition of bland She talks a lot,but never says anything original or interesting,

if it's a sunny day she always says "Oh what a lovely sunny day, the perfect day" or some rubbish about" Having a nice cup of tea" Everything she says is entirely bland

Why does she ALWAYS squint? Is she taking substances? It's very annoying

Sarah is one of these boring posh mummies you'll find in Areas like Ealing or Wimbledon

Another awful thing about this show is arfur smiff , his narration is very grating and adds nothing to the show.

Very enjoyable show showcases the creativity of local UK artists and craftsmen and inspires good ideas for the average viewer ,and Sarah is cute

Totally wow, this is a fantastic show. People leaving negative reviews seem a bit harsh - these artists are under pressure to create a profitable item in a limited timeframe with stuff rescued from the tip. I rate that degree of difficulty as very high. Casting judgement and putting down the artistry ignores how much tastes vary. Mostly I find they make something absolutely divine and ingenious. I think all the cast are absolutely amazing with the things they come up with to transform a piece of junk into something that will sell for a profit. Amazing skills and creativity - some combine woodwork, upholstery, paining and even sewing. Others like Bex and her husband Dave are welders, blacksmiths, painters and woodworkers. What an awesome array of skills!

A fool and his money are soon parted and that certainly is repeatedly the case in this series. While the idea of recycling items which otherwise would go for landfill is laudable, the whole thing is frankly pitiful since the so-called experts are often mainly bodge artists who do not know how to use tools properly (and often dangerously), manage to charge ridiculously high prices which are rarely negotiated and the finished products can be so bizarre that the fact that they are sold for absurdly high prices is barely credible.

I get the feeling that many people on the programme find it hard to hide their embarrassment in being involved with it.

Arthur Smith is an odd choice for doing the voiceovers and is usually given a very corny script but I guess he's (quietly) laughing all the way to the bank.

I really can't see how this got past a pilot episode.
