The show is interesting and we see some people in terrible pain helped often after many years of pain which is good , but also I have noticed many of the problems are likely linked to the size of some of the patients. Many are obese some morbidly obese and putting 2-3 times a normal weight through your feet and ankles/ knees will clearly cause problems and pain long term. Many of the patients wouldn't get the surgery in the U. K. until they lost weight but I guess as they are paying for it directly in the USA it's just done without any guidance on how reducing weight might aid them long term. I guess with some it's chicken and egg if they have problems they can't exercise or walk far from pain so put on weight. Although if you know that why not check your calorie intake and monitor or reduce weight that way. Without losing a lot of weight many will just get further foot and ankle problems later on and the merry go round of surgery starts again.
First off, the concept is great. It's reminiscent of pimple popping in that it's gross but informative at the same time. You learn about conditions.
However, there are some very questionable decisions made by the dictors here, like shortening an otherwise healthy long second toe. Also people wake up during surgery, which is horrible, but more so if scripted for the show.
It seems that some of these are unnecessarily operated.
Also the extreme gore is unnecessary. These scenes could have just as well been done in B/W or desaturated.

I have watched at least 3 patients waking during surgery.
This should never happen!
The Anesthesiologist is not paying attention to the patient. When he is alerted by the surgeon of the problem it takes him to much time to sedate the patient! This is shown on tv. People who have fears of this situation happening to them are having their fears played out.
After the first time it should never have happened again!
You have an Anesthesiologist problem!
Here another medical show has broken thru this time "TLC's" "My Feet Are Killing Me" and it's interesting and informative on conditions and medical matters of the feet as two podiatrist surgeons operate on folks feet from everywhere it features rashes, skin conditions, growths, enlarged feet and bone and heel spurs it's really somewhat gross and gory to view still it's a fun watch to see patients getting help and relieve from pain and discomfort!
Very informative and well done show with two wonderful podiatric surgeons who really seem to care about their patients (unfortunately this quality is a true rarity). Love it!
