Lordi's music video for Blood Red Sandman makes direct nods to the iconic 1981 horror film The Evil Dead. In the video, a group of young people stays at a remote cabin in the woods. They discover a tape recorder and a mysterious manuscript, and soon after, paranormal events begin to unfold. The dead rise, and Lordi's rock monsters invade the cabin.
Once again, the protagonist is a young woman who ultimately comes face-to-face with the devil himself-Mr. Lordi. This is yet another early 2000s Lordi track that plays out like a horror short film wrapped in a rock anthem. For fans of both hard rock and horror, it's a real treat. The narrative in this video is arguably one of the strongest and most compelling in Lordi's entire videography.
