Exclusive: Chris Pine (Star Trek), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Mufasa: The Lion King), and Doona Bae (Rebel Moon) are new additions to the cast of Alpha Gang, the alien invasion comedy from the Zellner Brothers (Sasquatch Sunset).
Character details are under wraps. As previously announced, Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Riley Keough will also star.
When the project was announced in October 2024, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz, and Steven Yeun were also in the ensemble, though they’ve since fallen out for reasons that aren’t entirely clear. Sources attributed it to a combination of factors including scheduling that are constantly in flux for a great many indie film packages.
Alpha Gang follows a group of alien invaders sent to conquer Earth. Disguised in human form as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang, they are ruthless in their mission… until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human condition of all: emotion.

Atomic Mass Games, the makers of the popular wargame Star Wars: Legion, revealed back in late March at AdeptiCon that Star Wars: Legion would be getting four new one-player army sets. When they were shown off, Amg listed fall as the release window for the four starter sets, and with fall now being a couple of months away, we finally have release dates for the starter sets.
While these release dates are UK-specific, as mentioned over on Wargamer, the US and UK release dates for Star Wars: Legion are in tandem with each other again and will more than likely release on the same day in both countries. Two starter sets will be released in September, with the final two sets releasing under a month later in the best month of all, October.
The first two starter sets to be released will be the Galactic Empire: Starter Set and the Rebel Alliance: Starter Set.

Billy Idol Just Found Out He Has Another Son, Admits He Had Sex ‘With A Million People’ In 70s & 80s
Billy Idol just found out he has a secret son – and he’s not surprised at all.
Idol revealed that his daughter, Bonnie Blue Broad, 35, took a 23andMe DNA test only to discover her long-lost stepbrother, Brant.
Idol admitted that due to his sexual history during his rock and roll prime, this news isn’t too out of the ordinary.
“The more I thought about it, I guessed there must be something like that,” he told iNews. “Because we were going around in the 80s and 70s, just having knockdown, drag-out sex with a million people you didn’t know.”
Idol shares two children with two different exes. He fathered Bonnie Blue Broad with ex Linda Mathis and Willem Wolfe Broad, 37, with ex Perri Lister.
He added, “A lot of people in the rock world got children beyond their usual relationships.”
Brant is presumed to have been conceived during Idol’s 1985 “Rebel Yell” tour.

Justin Hartley is teasing what fans can expect from his “Tracker” character, Colter Shaw, in Season 3 of his hit CBS series.
“I know we’ll get to the nitty-gritty of why my mother hired this guy,” he told Variety Wednesday at the premiere of his new movie “Bride Hard” in Los Angeles. “Was she protecting her kids? Was an affair happening? Was the government involved? Was it strictly just my mother? Why did she hide that from us for so long? Why did she lead me to believe that it was my brother who was involved when he wasn’t? It seems like this divide-and-conquer thing that she’s doing. It was just an odd thing to do with your children. There’s some deep psychosis there. We’ll unpack that.”
Hartley said he admires the mysterious element of Colter.

With the likes of Disney’s 2025 Lilo & Stitch and DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon remake in theaters, the task of having to tackle the current US box office is no mean feat. With that in mind, positive early responses become crucial as word-of-mouth helps to boost ticket sales. Sadly, one of this weekend's box office debutants has had anything but a positive early response, with Rebel Wilson's Bride Hard failing to capture any glowing first reviews.
Because of this, Bride Hard, which was promoted by some as Bridesmaids meets Die Hard, falls far below the bar set by either, earning a poor 27% critics' score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Although only from 15 reviews to date, this score is likely to stay at a similar level as more are left disappointed by a lackluster comedy with a healthy measure of action. Not even a Pitch Perfectreunionwithco-star Anna Camp could seemingly save this movie,...

Horror fans didn’t literally have to wait three decades to witness the long-awaited follow-up to 28 Weeks Later (2007), but it was close. It’s been 18 long years since the Jeremy Renner-led sequel to the original 28 Days Later (2002) hit theaters. However, director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland’s return to the film series was not only worth the time lost, but it’s all that much sweeter since the critics are raving about the latest big-screen installment. Currently, 28 Years Later registers an almost perfect — and "Certified Fresh" for that matter — Tomatometer rating of 95% against 82 reviews posted to Rotten Tomatoes. In fact, MovieWeb’s own 28 Years Later review (4.5/5 stars) declares the sequel "is a horror masterpiece that shatters already high expectations." Read an excerpt from the critique below:

I never had high expectations for Bride Hard, but I’ll admit that my fondness for Simon West’s early work – especially the action classic Con Air (1997) and Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) – kept alive a faint hope of finding at least a shred of charm or personality here. Unfortunately, not even that thread of nostalgia was enough to save this production from being one of the most forgettable, poorly executed films of the year.
Written by Shaina Steinberg (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Bride Hard is led by Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect), who plays Sam, a secret agent who agrees to be maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding. What starts as a weekend full of bonding, confessions, and celebration quickly turns into a rescue mission when the event is hijacked by a group of armed criminals. While most action games focus on gory sequences, Rebel Wolves’ The Blood of Dawnwalker has chosen otherwise. This RPG vows to give you a combat-rich experience, thanks to the availability of real swordsmen in the developer’s team. It is rather true because what we saw in the game’s trailer, the sword fighting sequences do look professional.
The lack of proper sword fighting in recent games has been evident. Most of them feature nothing but fast-paced sword slashing in the name of “sword fighting.” Quite literally, it doesn’t feel much like authentic warrior-style sword fighting. However, this is all about to change as Rebel Wolves are here to change the way you look at action games with their upcoming RPG.

In a gaming landscape obsessed with completionist checklists and Fomo-fueled content maps, The Blood of Dawnwalker is taking a sharp left turn into the unknown. This vampire RPG, from the devs at Rebel Wolves, doesn’t care if you see everything; it dares you not to.
Creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz calls it a “narrative sandbox,” a world where major characters, factions, and even storylines are completely missable. That’s not a bug; that’s the point. Your vampire journey is yours alone, awkward blood-splattered detours and all.
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, blink and you’ll miss the revolution (literally)
Forget hand-holding. In The Blood of Dawnwalker, you can straight-up finish the game without ever encountering one of its biggest factions: the human rebellion, a group you’d expect to be central to the story. That’s not a design oversight; it’s an intentional dare.

It's been a long hiatus, but the wait for Season 4 of The Morning Show is almost over. Today, Apple TV+ finally revealed when the new episodes are coming. Keeping up with its fall tradition, the drama is returning on September 17. Along with the release date, the streamer also unveiled some first-look images that tease the events of the upcoming season. Season 4 of The Morning Showwill be as tense as ever. This time, the series will tackle themes like deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups, as well as how all of those concepts converge with journalism. Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) will also have to deal with two major events: the aftermath of the Uba-Nbn merger — which completely changes the atmosphere of the newsroom into a less transparent environment — and the bigger picture of a polarized America, which makes the concept of "truth" become elusive at best.

In a soap opera shocker, General Hospital is giving a new, yet familiar face to Michael Corinthos. After narrowly escaping death in an explosion in an episode back in January, the fan-favorite from Port Charles is finally making his return, and it'll be a soap opera veteran taking over for the departing, Daytime Emmy-winning Chad Duell after fifteen years. He'll make his debut on the series this Friday, May 23, on ABC, but ahead of that, he sat down with TV Insider to share his reaction and approach to taking on such a long-running role.

Twin Palestinian filmmakers Arab and Tarzan Nasser, whose real names are Mohamed and Ahmed Abou, and who credit themselves on screen as “Nasser Brothers,” make movies whose titles can be somewhat deceiving — probably on purpose.
Their second feature, Gaza mon amour, owed much less to Alain Resnais than to offbeat auteurs like Aki Kaurismaki or Elia Sulieman, weaving a surreal love story centered around a Greek statue with a prominently erect penis. Their latest work, Once Upon a Time in Gaza, is rather far from the historical action epics of Sergio Leone, though it does have a few things in common with Quentin Tarantino in its TV-show-within-a-movie plot.
In both cases, titles and plot devices conceal what the Nassers are really interested in, which is depicting their homeland under Hamas rule and the Israeli blockade. Exiled in Jordan for over a decade now, the brothers have been able to make films about Gaza from afar,...

Yellow Veil Pictures has bought North America rights for Addison Heimann’s offbeat horror “Touch Me,” following its festival run at Sundance Midnight and SXSW.
“Touch Me” follows “two co-dependent best friends become addicted to the heroin-like touch of an alien narcissist who may or may not be trying to take over the world.” Olivia Taylor Dudley stars alongside Lou Taylor Pucci (“Evil Dead”) and Jordan Gavaris (“The Lake”) from a script from Heimann. It’s produced by Heimann, John Humber and David Lawson Jr and executive produced by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead for Rustic Films.
“’Touch Me’ is an astounding second feature,” said Yellow Veil Pictures Joe Yanick. “Addison is so playful in his stylistic choices and confident in allowing so many different ideas to bounce around form into a film that is in equal measure funny, sexy, weird, and bloody.”

Over the last few years, divisive director Zack Snyder has turned his hand to crafting his own Star Wars-esque sci-fi action saga with Rebel Moon. Major spoilers ahead for "Andor" season 2, up to the series finale.
"Andor" is not only the best "Star Wars" experiment in decades, it's arguably the timeliest and most poignant TV show currently airing. This is a harrowing portrayal of the evils of fascism and how genocide can happen right under everyone's noses. It is also a phenomenal story about the cost of revolution and the sacrifices made in the fight against tyranny.
Showrunner Tony Gilroy builds on the world introduced in "Star Wars: Rogue One," which showed us the dirty side of rebellion: the assassinations, the spying, and the mistrust. It is a show about the extraordinary effort required to start the spark that will eventually light the fire that will burn the Empire down. We've seen the idealism of Karis Nemik (Alex Lawther), who genuinely believed in the purity of the struggle and tried to inspire others with his manifesto.

Daredevil: Born Again has resumed filming in New York, and we now have another round of set photos from the show's upcoming second season.
It appears Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) are teaming up, perhaps becoming unlikely allies in a New York now ruled over by Mayor Wilson Fisk with an iron fist. It's not like the Man Without Fear hasn't worked with a killer before (see: The Punisher).
These photos reveal a new look at the bullseye logo that's been added to the villain's mask, and more changes to Daredevil's suit. We previously theorised that he paints his red suit black, and it seems that's wearing off as time passes.
Previous set photos only showed glimmers of red, whereas there are now large patches coming through. Fortunately, the iconic "Dd" logo remains.

Emmy nominee Mandy Moore (This Is Us) has found her next major role in The Breadwinner, a TriStar Pictures comedy in which she’ll star opposite top comic Nate Bargatze, Deadline has learned.
Marking Bargatze’s feature film acting debut, the film sees Nate’s supermom wife, Katie, land a deal on Shark Tank. Subsequently, the lifelong breadwinner of the family becomes a stay-at-home dad and quickly realizes he’s in way over his head.
Rounding out the cast as the daughters of the on-screen couple are Stella Grace Fitzgerald (Rebel Moon), Birdie Borria (The Fabelmans) and Charlotte Ann Tucker (Thunderbolts*).
Bargatze and Dan Lagana penned the script, with TriStar preemptively acquiring the package back in November, as we were first to report. Eric Appel, the Emmy-winning director of Weird: The Al Yankovic Project, struck a deal to helm the feature in February, as you’ll recall from our subsequent reporting.

K-2So is coming, really.
Alan Tudyk’s beloved slouching quippy reprogrammed Imperial murder-bot has an important role to play in Andor season two … just not quite yet (and when he does come into the story, K-2So is great and gives you what you’ve been waiting for, promise).
It’s understandable that some fans have been a bit impatient for this. When Andor was first announced as a prequel series to 2016’s Rogue One, the first thing that likely popped into your mind is Cassian Andor and his 8-foot-tall metal buddy roaming the galaxy, going on Rebel Alliance missions and having all sorts of adventures — a bit like The Mandalorian, but with a sarcastic killer droid in the cockpit instead of an adorable Baby Yoda.
And while Andor the show has been very different — and arguably far better — than anybody expected, the lack of K-2So in the...

The dark and complex season 2 of "The Last of Us" is upon us, and with it, the events of Naughty Dog's sequel video game "The Last of Us Part II" begin to unfold in glorious (and gory) live-action. The hit HBO show's sophomore season is set to introduce a number of new characters, many of whom accompany Abby Anderson (Kaitlyn Dever) on a very special mission -- one that fans of the video game are no doubt already awaiting.
One of the key players in Abby's team is Mel, a former Firefly and a capable medic. Mel's medical knowledge plays an important role in the game's events, and the way she combines her caring nature with a surprising capacity for violence makes her one of the most memorable members of Abby's squad.
In the video game, Mel is voiced by "Mythic Quest" star Ashly Burch. However, she doesn't reprise the role in the show.

Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as ‘The Rebel Kid,’ has made a bold return to social media following a period of silence triggered by massive online hate and threats. After facing immense backlash over her appearance in the controversial episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’, Apoorva disappeared from the public eye, only to return recently with a deeply emotional and defiant message.
In her comeback post, she bravely revealed the scale of harassment she has endured — including countless rape, acid attack, and death threats. Her caption, ‘This is not even 1%’, accompanying screenshots of abusive messages, illustrates just a glimpse of the overwhelming hate she received. Her intention in returning wasn’t just to resume content creation, but to confront and expose the toxic culture that thrives online.

But he isn’t just pointing out the problem, he’s also demanding change. Boyega’s words have sparked a necessary conversation. So, what does this mean for the intergalactic saga and the entertainment industry at large?

The master director behind The Witcher 3, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has slightly different plans for his upcoming The Blood of Dawnwalker. In this game, Rebel Wolves, the developer behind the game is experimenting with a different approach to character design.
The Blood of Dawnwalker offers a complex duality in the nature of its protagonist. Image Credit: Rebel Wolves
Tomaszkiewicz wants to present the world with a protagonist that has some sort of duality in nature, where he is often conflicted between good and evil. The way he does this is by turning him into a bloodthirsty vampire by night and a mere powerless, empathetic human by day.

Jurassic World Rebirth has a scene from Michael Crichton's book that was cut from the original movie
Today is a day for dinosaurs! Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment have just unleashed the first trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh installment in the long-running franchise about dinosaurs chomping up humans who too foolhardy to think, "hey, maybe we shouldn't resurrect long dead creatures to sell theme park tickets." I've had the trailer on loop for the better part of the day, and despite some initial misgivings about this movie existing at all, the hype is starting to get me.
It helps that Jurassic World Rebirth has a really strong creative team behind it who seem to be genuinely fired up about the movie. Director Gareth Edwards is a long-time fan of the franchise who has made an undeniable mark on sci-fi filmmaking with movies like Godzilla (2014), Star Wars: Rogue One and The Creator. When The Blood of Dawnwalker was finally revealed, many couldn’t help but compare it to CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher franchise, and for good reason. An open world, fantasy elements, and a protagonist with some funny-looking eyes, as well as Rebel Wolves, a new studio, being comprised of mostly ex-cd Projekt Red veteran developers made it a simple comparison.
All that said, the comparison can’t be made with The Blood of Dawnwalker’s most unique feature, which many originally worried about.
The Narrative Sandbox is Everything to The Blood of Dawnwalker
Set in a 14th-century, plague-addled southern Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker will have you playing as Coen, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid desperate to save his family after they’ve been kidnapped. Sylvester Stallone is no stranger to wielding firearms of all kinds throughout his decades-long career as a Hollywood action star, but one expert has debunked the realism of one of his best-known movies. First beginning his acting career in the late 1960s, Stallone’s earliest film appearances were largely relegated to smaller supporting roles and background characters, including an uncredited performance in 1970’s M*A*S*H.
Following his first significant roles in the 1973 independent movie Rebel and the 1974 comedy The Lords of Flatbush, it was Stallone’s decision to pen the script for 1976’s Rocky that finally provided him with the vehicle that would turn him into a household name. During the 1980s, however, Stallone would begin his transformation into one of Hollywood’s leading action stars. Beginning with 1982’s First Blood, Stallone’s tenure as the misunderstood Vietnam veteran John Rambo would eventually spawn a decades-long franchise that...

It says a lot about Jon Favreau’s photorealistic CG-animated remake of “The Lion King” that it’s frequently, and inaccurately, called the “live-action” version. The 2019 blockbuster is more impactful as a technical exercise than it is as a feature film. Yes, those do indeed look like realistic cats. No, they do not look like they’re acting. Favreau’s painstaking effort to transform a vibrant animated classic into a staid, simulated nature documentary where the animals sometimes warble out an awkward song was a dull, drab, drastically inferior version of the original.
It wasn’t a waste of money though. The CG-animated “The Lion King” is now one of the highest-grossing movies in history (not adjusting for inflation), so a follow-up was inevitable. But instead of remaking the unexpectedly beloved straight-to-video sequel “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride,” Disney decided to enlist Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins — the director of...

While some actors have gone out on a high note with extremely memorable final films, there are other performers whose final roles may surprise viewers. Whether they passed away or retired, it’s always sad to say goodbye to icons of Hollywood, although sometimes their final roles were overshadowed by other work in their acclaimed careers. In some cases, a late-career performance was so popular that many viewers wrongly think it was their final swansong, or other times, a lackluster final movie tarnished an actor's legacy so much that it was best just forgotten about entirely.
Even though some of these actors’ final movies weren’t their most memorable or acclaimed, it’s important to note that a great Hollywood career is based on the cumulative works of a performer, and no actor should be judged on their last performance alone. With this in mind, it’s also essential to...

The Rebel Alliance keeps on growing in Disney's latest Andor sneak preview.
Cassian Andor's espionage journey was one of several shows teased via Disney+'s 'Coming In 2025' promo, revealing more protests against the Galactic Empire and Cassian stealing a Tie Interceptor under the Empire's nose. These clips also spotlight an argument between Cassian and Rebel handler Luthen Rael, with the future Rogue One lead insisting he's "thinking like a soldier" instead of a thief and Luthen encouraging him to "think like a leader." Other Andor characters seen in the promo include Cassian's friend Bix Caleen and droid companion K-2So, who will once again be voiced by Alan Tudyk.

Andor season 2 is one of the more highly-anticipated upcoming Star Wars TV shows, meaning many questions are being asked about the project. Initially, Andor was intended to last five seasons, before being confirmed as two seasons leading into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. With Andor season 1 featuring a few relatively self-contained story arcs before culminating in the finale, Andor season 2 is expected to more closely resemble Rogue One, both in terms of its titular character and the show's timeline.
The dramatic ending of Andor season 1 saw Diego Luna's Cassian Andor join the Rebel Alliance, setting him up for a second season in which he will wage his personal war against the Empire. Beyond that, little has been revealed about the overall plot, which will span the five years between Andor season 1 and Rogue One. Here's everything that's known to date.
