A snobbish food critic gets abducted in Mexico, tricked into reviewing a bogus cartel eatery. He must collaborate with his captor to survive when real criminals arrive, aiming to seize control.

A cantankerous, self-centered LA food critic is kidnapped and taken to Mexico, where he's forced to write a review for what he thinks is a cartel-owned restaurant, only to realize he's been duped by his naive young captor, whom he must now help to stay alive when the real bad guys show up and try to take over the business.—Roderick Fenske
