Two World Wars and their aftermaths are talked and discussed early through many films from all over the world but here in Gundu, the director cum writer Athiyan points about the importance of peace and tranquility in our daily lives. Of course, Gundu is just a symbol for him to announce his views and ideas regarding his ideologies behind the anti-war campaign. In that way, Athiyan succeeded his journey with his debut one.
