The plot juxtaposes the present with the 80s, and as a teenager of the 80s, with the nostalgic dress, hairstyle, and retro props (like the old dial phone and cassette tapes) it really brought up fond memories of what seemed like a much fun simpler and time.
Really enjoyed the cinematography, and the plot had twists and turns that kept you guessing all the way. All the characters were well suited to their roles, and made you believe they were really cast back in time.
Great fun movie, and suitable for all ages, and great soundtrack which also casts you back to the 80s era.
Wonderful cinematography and music - an 80's girl myself I totally and immediately felt at home. Loved the use of the tape player, mixed tape gift (ha ha!) and dial phone, brilliant.
The story delivered with twists and turns, keeping you on your toes until the end, and sparking a huge chat on the way home! I also loved the gorgeous Hampstead Heath and London scenes, which were beautifully framed.
Lastly, well done to the composer of the soundtrack - that last song was a ripper! Really added to the general ambience of the film. Great job!
The cast portray lovably quirky characters with personal flaws which make them endearing and lifelike. Costuming is authentic and not over done.
The inclusion of old technology such as a cassette tape player, phone box, hamburger phone, and dial telephone add moments of sublte humour and create a sense of authenticity. The scene with the dial telephone is particularly amusing.
Very well done.
Yes this is a time travelling movie, as the title suggests, so no spoilers there. The intersection between characters and their motivations in the present and the past are surprising and creative.
The characters were well formed and likeable with good character development. The costumes were fun, especially the 80's ones.
The filming/ editing were so well done as to not be noticeable.
The Props were also fun. I loved seeing the.use of the old "TV Hits" magazine - that sure brought back memories!

- CuriosidadesAfter time travelling back to 1989, Jessica Richards (Anna Fraser) refers to going to a milkshake diner in Hampstead London called Tinseltown. Her father, then 17 and played by Jon Untersander, doesn't realise who she really is and has no idea what she is talking about. He refers to Tinseltown as "Tinsel-what!"
That's because whilst Jessica grew up in the 2010's and even went to the diner for her 11th birthday, the Tinseltown diner in Hampstead only opened in 2005 explaining why it wasn't known to her father back in 1989.

Sean Richards: It's like I was waking into a dream. But someone else's dream, where none of it's real, none of it's yours. Just a feeling of being so lost that no amount of waking will change it. I could remember nothing else before that point.
