Lani Hall: Never Say Never Again

Hilarious to think about it and watching it as well. An official music video for the theme song of a non-official Bond movie, "Never Say Never Again" is a lousy movie by all accounts; the song, however, is first-rate yet very underrated and under the radar of most listeners - a lot better song than the ones given to the award winning themes of "Spectre" and "No Time to Die". The instruments, the melody and Lani Hall's voice all match perfectly, and the song is very smooth, sensual and fitting for a James Bond film.

Nothing new under the sun, here's another cliched soundtrack clip mixing scenes from the movie and performance moments from the singer. In it, Lani is shown wearing a tuxedo, like a female Bond version full of class and style. But whenever the film clips were shown, at times shown through multiple squares going on and on turned like a book page, the effect/editing looked hilarious - probably inspired by those "Emmanuelle" film franchise (or maybe it's the other way around).

The only missing thing was the trumpet solo at the end, though I'm not sure if it appears on the actual single. But you know, I had a great time watching the music video and it's such a catchy tune you'll be hooked by it for ages. Can't say the same about the godawful movie, of which I already know as a fact that I'll never be seeing it again (twice hurt by it). 9/10.
