Buzz Cut

Hammer and Pickle of PorMEH3 here! After drunkenly writing a long review for what ended up being the wrong movie, I don't have all that much left in me to say haha. I thoroughly enjoyed this watch though! Perfect silly, campy, horror flick. All the glorious murder! Loved seeing how hashers worked over there and Rigid Beef Whistle is a glorious name! Also really enjoyed the similarities in all the in movie hashers to those I've met in reality (such as the classic older hasher who's always naked). Plus fantastic soundtrack! I'll be reppin Deathnir in Maine! Keep up the great work!

A delightful and truly entertaining film. The comedy writing is great, the horror scenes are well done, and it's really nice to see the Hash House Harriers in a film. Some of the Kiwi jokes and slang went over my head but that's ok. I feel like the film could have done a bit of a better job explaining what hashing is and why all these people are going running out in the woods, but you definitely don't need to know what hashing is to enjoy the film. A must see if you are a Hasher yourself. I'm sure this will become a cult classic across the global hash house harrier community in no time. Loved every minute.

This movie really had everything - bees, beer and a bounty of fantastic death scenes. You have to love the throw back to classic campy horror films, all the hash humor and the actor's ability to sell everything in a truly bee-lievable way. Ten out of ten, would watch again honey.

What a blast Buzz Cut is! This has to be the most fun I've had in ages watching a movie, and it is indie horror at its finest. Hard to believe it took this long to get a proper kiwi slasher flick, and Buzz Cut is happy to fill that void. There are lots of nods to classic 80s slashers, and while some of the writing is not for the faint of heart (if you're easily offended it's best to avoid this one), it really does take you back to when slashers were in their prime. There's some great gory practical effects, and some really fantastic Kiwi humour. Buzz Cut is indie horror gold!

This movie has brilliantly combined horror, comedy, and the Hash House Harrier culture! The attention to craft demonstrated by the creators as well as the cast demonstrates a love for the art missing from so many other films.
