21 years after the first time he appeared on the big screen and always followed by a theme song, James Bond/007 and his films would only
get a music video with the film clips and theme song with "Octopussy" and Rita Cooledge's unforgettable "All Time High". BIg fan of the film and
the theme here, so there's nothing wrong about it except that it's a little dated, and Rita appears very briefly in between shots since the major
idea from director John Glen (also the film director) was to expose all the thrills and the action from his latest venture in the franchise.
The singer appears outside of a castle which evokes the film's scenery but that location is not from "Octopussy", filmed in India but the clip was shot in England. Many of the thrilling moments of Roger Moore as Bond, Maud Adams as his girl, are shown with great effect and it probably attracted many audiences to it. Subsequent music videos of Bond flicks toyed with bigger ideas and became real sensations (Duran Duran's "A View to a Kill", my favorite as the band was made to interact with the film action on the Eiffel Tower; or Madonna's "Die Another Day" which pays tribute to previous films of the franchise with a fight at a museum). This one just followed the typical formula of soundtrack clips and it worked. That saxophone just kills me everytime, just like Rita Coolidge's sweet voice. 8/10.
