I can't say it's the worst film I've ever seen but it's closer to that then the best. What surprises me is the amount of 10/10 ratings and many reviewers saying how suspenseful and good it was.
In all honesty it was super slow, I can equate it to a vast slug slithering across a motorway and watching it to see if it makes it or not. No real mystery, and one that Morse or even the clumsy Columbo could solve in a minute or two. I gave it a fair 2 star rating, and that was generous.

I can't complain about the acting. It's just way to slow, waiting and waiting for something to happen. Could have spend an hour and a half in a better way like cutting my toe nails!

Watched this flaming piece of garbage in 3x and it still moved at an inch an hour. I've seen snails move faster.
The story is garbage, there is no payoff and the characters are annoying and weird. The acting is horrible too.
Please don't waste your time on this one. The 10/10 and 9/10 ratings are all from the people directly involved with this garbage.

After 25 minutes of watching with full focus , I decided to stop wasting my time , it was really boring 25 minutes.
There should be zero ranking for such movies.
Sorry for all movie stuff , This was really bad begging of the movie, I don't know what is coming after this 25 minutes but that was enough for me to stop watching this.

If you like low budget bad mojo movies this is it for you, to dark, to negative, to much badly chosen music... maybe it's for you, but it didn't do a thing for me.

It can be summed up to all main characters making terribly bad decisions, all lives destroyed. Wish I had not watched the movie. It's a depressing movie that is depressing all the way to the final scene.

This is a movie that I got the chance to see from a screener. It is an interesting look at a family that has lost two sons. Jenny (Eleanor Lambert) is the 'oldest' of triplets. I get the feeling one of her brothers killed themselves and the other died in a car accident. We see this family dealing with grief.
I do hate to say though, this movie is boring. The movie doesn't do well in making me love the family. Lambert's performance is fine. The boy who plays her son is cute. Aunt Joan is one of the best to me.
This is a movie about decisions and it doesn't do well in making me spark the connection I need for this. It just doesn't come together like they wanted to me.
My Rating: 4.5 out of 10.

Read about the film in the Detroit Free Press and decided to give it a watch as I'm from the city. It takes a bit to get going though the new faces and unique representation of Detroit puts this in its own lane. Claudia Black is especially great - she has a real charisma that jumps off the screen and comes at times when it's really needed with everyone else dealing with grief. Very cool and refreshing to see a story about Detroit that feels authentic.

Suspenseful, if you give it the chance. It's not as much a thriller, but I felt connected to the characters and strung along as the lead digs herself deeper into a crevice she's in. It's not perfect, but it's a good character study with a smart ending. I recommend it!

I've wondered, briefly, what the films my TV cable guide rates at 11 or 14% must be like. 'Time Now' has illustrated the depths of the despised for me.
Here we are, 52 minutes in, and no closer to knowing the circumstances of protagonist Jenny's apparently total, years-long break with her family. Nor do we know what happened to Jenny's brother Andrew, beyond that their mother is still bitter about Jenny naming her son after him, three (?) or four years later. (I'm not even sure if Jenny's a twin or a triplet; she's been called both.)
In media res is a fine way to start...but you can't spend a whole film stuck there. Especially since there's no action here to start in the middle of: just a glacially paced, barely lit, back-and-forth around a main character with so little spark or personality she's basically a nonentity who drives. And drives.
This film is so halfhearted and plodding the one lively character, Claudia Black as June/Jojo, stands out like she's wearing a flaming arrow on her head.
Curse you, IMDB, for making me give it a 1.

Beautifully shot film. Dark. Suspenseful. A story about a young woman and he search for the mystery behind her brother's untimely death.
Time Now is a love letter to the city it takes place in, Detroit, as well as a character driven story carefully directed and produced.
I enjoyed every frame of it.

Surprise! You Guessed Wrong Buddy!
This is what people I guess would call a slow burner. But some might wonder if the slow and the payoff was worth it. I thought the story interesting even tho I'm not a big fan of the type of crowd depicted here.
But I thought it was alright. 6/10.

Time Now has no shortage of atmosphere and underlying sense of building dread that climaxes in a tragic self-reckoning with grief and the steps we take to cope with it. Performance highlights include the stellar Eleanor Lambert, whose first time showing off her chops leave a profound impression and set the stage for a magnificent career to come, as well as Claudia Black who sheds her sci-fi/action roots to bring a much needed warmth and light to the darkness weighing over our lead. Spencer King expertly crafts a tale of family and loss with an eye for the dramatics, and this film is mature beyond his young years. A slow but thrilling burn, this one will stay with you for days after first viewing.

Guilt is heavy and you see at what extent it plays in this film. A thriller mystery more like it. It tells a story and you just have to watch it unfold. Not a bad movie or big budget but it did it's job to keep you interested.

I can't recommend 'Time Now' enough! The film's narrative, characters and cinematography keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. I saw this at the Austin Film Festival and it was without a doubt the best film I saw the whole weekend. Need more films like this.

All around great film, performances are fantastic. Never devolves into melodrama like many in this genre do. Claudia Black in particular is a scene-stealer. It's a slow-burn but in a way that manages to still be engaging and engrossing throughout. Would strongly recommend.

After seeing this film at the Austin Film Festival this year, I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. The unique plot, character development, and great cinematography made for an engaging experience that kept me on the edge of my seat. Kudos to the director and production team for pulling together a talented and diverse cast, and ultimately for creating a piece of art! Can't wait to see what's next for Spencer King!

A film that sits in the weight of the decisions of it's characters, and their implications. It's a good film in that it does not send an overt message of right and wrong, and there is no clear cut good or bad guy. In short, it's a very human look at how the decisions we make affects others, and how we as people come to those decisions.
Admittedly, it is not a fast-paced drama filled with turn upon turn upon turn, but the story does unfold in a way that makes sense, and the film very much allows for that story to happen through it's pacing, acting, cinematography, and score.
It's not a movie you pop a bag of popcorn to and relax with after work. But if you want to sit with a movie, give your attention to it, and be open to be with what's happening, it's a good movie that stays with you for awhile.

This is not a fast paced movie, but rather a piece of art meant to take in slowly. The cinematography was excellent. I really enjoyed the way the story was told. I enjoyed the views of Detroit, much pride seeing the city portrayed on film. The main character is relatable. The ending is shocking yet fathomable at the same time. The music was awesome.

This was an incredible journey. It's definitely moody and works really hard to create a wonderful ambiance and atmosphere. While it may be slow for some, I really appreciated the slower pace as it worked well with the context of the film. Everything is all about grief and inner demons. I found it very symbolic and meaningful. It does a good job making you think, but not importantly it makes you feel.
It takes a unique perspective and tells an intriguing story. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a film that follows a similar path as this one. It's very creative and shows what it is to be human.
Slow for some, definitely gritty, but excellent at making you think, slow down and enjoy the experience.
