Nancy Drew

Similar to ELEMENTARY w/ Johnny Lee Miller, the pilot episode for the CW's NANCY DREW started out trying a bit too much to shock and vary widely from the original. But from the second episode on, the story and characters are much improved. I grew up with Nancy Drew, enjoyed Pamela Sue Martin as a teen in the 70s, and find this show intriguing as well. The characters are likable and the mystery just keeps evolving. Well done and hope it continues.

I have been looking forward to this ever since the adds started on tv and I was not disappointed!

I am not sure why it has so many bad reviews, I think the characters were likeable, the story was good & the atmosphere was a bit creepy! (I am not really a horror fan so this was good for me! Haha)

I have not seen any other Nancy Drew movies or read the books, maybe that is why people are not liking it, as they are comparing it to them? But I really liked ep 1 and can't wait for the next one! :)

I love how people rate things a month in and call that it. So, we saw this wasn't like the books. Neither was the new Sabrina and Riverdale. I've noticed that CW aims for a different kind of crowd. They aim for the young adult generation and keep up with the times. Equality is something that tends to a touchy subject, but not showing it is what made the governing generation we have today. Do we want to stay blissful and ignorant like those in the 50s or do we want a world where we don't shoot based on race or judge based on what we do behind closed doors.

What I love about this Nancy Drew (and CW) is the progressive attitude of the younger generation. If you want to stay in the stone age, don't watch their stuff.

The new creep factor was a major bonus. Sure, the relationships area bit soap-opera, but my favorite thing about Nancy Drew (old & new) was the mystery. Nothing is ever as it seems.

My only issue is how season 4 states it takes place one year after her mom's death when the mom has been dead since before the show started. That makes for a very busy year... in relationships and ghosts...

Wow this series impressed me this is coming from a person who read all the Nancy drew books. Nothing like the books but just took the characters names

This show brings all the twists and drama you'll never expect

I think it's kind of interesting and doesn't feel like dragging feet. I've seen 16 ep and I wanna know more. How they just accept ghosts and supernatural is really refreshing. When you spend time watching ep after ep of people denaiyng the same stuff, is super triering and annoying, looking at you Once Upon a time! They're isn't too much teenaiyng shenanigans, 'cos they're like 20 I think. Never read a single Nancy Drew book so I'm not comparing this to that, but Riverdale sucks.
