In a 2022 interview with Fresh Fiction, Carlota Pereda described the reasoning behind the film's aspect ratio: "Something that is great about silent movies is that they tell a story visually and I wanted people to really have the sense of the movie that if you didn't hear the dialogue, you just saw the movie, you could understand it, just by the visuals of it. That's also why we shot in 4:3 because the body is in the center of the image, it's much more important than the surrounding landscape. It's more claustrophobic, it reminds us of the summers of our youth for those who are older and for kids it reminds them of Instagram so there are more and more layers of meaning to it."
In the film, the main character, Sara, is supposed to be a teenager who is manipulated by an older man who suddenly enters her life. Despite this, in real life, Laura Galan who plays Sara was 36 when the film was released, and Richard Holmes who plays The Stranger was 26.
