Pretty good documentary labor film

Work Songs (2020) was produced, filmed, co-edited, and directed by Mark Street.

The movie consists of a string of interviews with people who have worked for a living. (The title work "songs" doesn't fit, because there's only one song.) Early in the films the interviews are with older, retired workers, some of whom remember the Wobblies. Later in the film, the interviews are with "workers" only in the sense that they get paid for what they do. For example, one is an architect.

This movie promises more than it delivers. There was a great movie somewhere nearby, but, in my opinion, director Street didn't find it.

We saw the movie virtually as part of the excellent Washington, D. C. Labor Film Festival. It doesn't have enough ratings to count yet. I gave it a 7.
