Veteran actor Peter Jason, who played Con Stapleton in the HBO western drama Deadwood, has died. He was 80. A cause of death has not yet been revealed. However, actor Billy Zane confirmed the passing in a heartfelt tribute post late Thursday (February 20), writing, “If there are no words then there certainly is no music.. My dear, dear friend, the brightest light, most generous soul and gregarious of men, the supremely talented and kind Peter Jason has left the set.” “Survived by his lovely wife Eileen and his children, the vacuum felt by his passing gut punched me as I saw it coming,” said Zane, who starred alongside Jason in the 2008 film The Man Who Came Back. “It had me spending the last two hours deciding between pieces of music to underscore this tribute that would either confuse, tickle or bore 1/2 of the viewers. They ranged from Spike Jones to Morricone.

So sad. Ken, the former heavyweight champion who famously broke Muhammad Ali’s jaw passed away on Sept. 18 at the age of 70.

Ken died on Sept. 18 in a care facility in Arizona after battling a long list of health issues throughout his life, like strokes, a heart attack, cancer, broken bones and a speech impediment from a crash crash in 1986 due to brain injury. He truly was a fighter and battled until the end at the age of 70, survived by 3 children from two marriages and his wife.

Muhammad Ali‘s former business manager Gene Kilroy was saddened of the news, and that Ken is “in heaven now with all the great fighters,” wanting to hear that conversation.”

Sean Young is extending her stay on The Young and the Restless as the barmaid Meggie who attempted to pick up on Victor, EW has learned exclusively. Young — who already appeared in five episodes of Y&R — will return July 14 and is expected to stick around through August.

Before joining the sudser in May, Young said this of her daytime debut: “Getting the chance to work with my dear friend Eric Braeden, one of the true gentlemen in entertainment, was certainly a deciding factor for me, as well as wanting to get back to work after taking a few years off to raise my kids.

Blade Runner star Sean Young is making the transition to daytime TV - she's landed a role on U.S. soap opera The Young And The Restless.

The actress is set to follow in the footsteps of James Franco, who joined General Hospital last year, and Julianne Moore who recently returned to As the World Turns for a guest appearance 12 years after she quit the show.

Young's story arc, which begins filming next month, will reunite her with actor Eric Braeden, her co-star in 2007 Civil War drama The Man Who Came Back.

And Young admits she's excited about her upcoming soap debut, telling People.com, "Getting the chance to work with my dear friend Eric Braeden, one of the true gentlemen in entertainment, was certainly a deciding factor for me - as well as wanting to get back to work after taking a few years off to raise my kids."

Young's episodes will begin airing in the U.S. in June - shortly before David Hasselhoff makes his comeback on the soap which launched his career.
