Kumiko, a girl who came from the countryside and enrolled in university, meets Kenichi, a sophomore in education faculty. When they start dating, they become aware of a problem.

After two years together, Kenichi applies for a job in Yamanashi. After an inefficient search, Kumiko finds a ray of hope for their problem.

Happily married Kumiko and Kenichi start teaching. Four years later, Kumiko moves to a new school and is assigned a supposedly difficult class.
