A Norwegian parody of Kill Bill that is hilarious and has just the right mix of originality and parody. It has constant jokes and very fun characters. The characters (Mainly the protagonist and antagonist) are well developed and pretty much every scene they're in is guaranteed to be funny. With a budget of about 900 this is quite a well made movie, considering that the acting is good, the effects in fights are either good or the cheap ones are played of quite funny, the only indicator of this being a low-budget production is the lack of good customs and sets, however as I said before, it's played of quite funny. I also strongly recommend watching the subbed version, in the English Dubbed one many of the jokes are changed.
The only problem I have with this movie is that they could have ended it better, but considering the amount of laughter I had before it's a minor mistake.
P.s.: In the subbed version the subtitles said corn dog, while you can clearly hear the character say kebab, anyone has an idea why?

Kill Buljo is the story of a sami whose friends and family is killed during an engagement party. The storyline follows the Kill Bill films more or less, with the only the location and people being different.
The parody is good at times and it definitely includes some funny elements, but the film in general is poorly made and the acting is terrible at times. It got so bad at times, I started wondering whether this actually was a film production or just something for a film project at school. Kill Buljo also left me wondering whether it's actually necessary to add extra nastiness to make a "good" film.. I guess so.
I didn't really have big expectations, so I wasn't disappointed. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do.

I remember seeing this at my video rental shop and feeling a small spark of joy in my heart. A parody of Kill Bill? Brilliant! I love parodies!
And so I rented it, expecting a lot...maybe too much.
The beginning of the film made me laugh. The parody of the wedding massacre with all the body outlines on the floor, including a reindeer was very good, but when the actors came in everything went to hell.
The acting is bad, terminally bad. The main actors expression does not change once throughout the whole bloody film!! In fact the whole acting part reminded me of some cheap, unenthusiastic college joke film. The film has funny jokes in it, but it has a nice truckload of poor and frankly disgusting ones to shove the good ones out of the audience's mind. Most of those bad jokes involve coprophilia, bestiality (oh yes there is some in there), scatological humour and tired and overused jokes (the "I am your father" one is spectacularly painful to watch). The dubbing was horrendous and clashed with the poor acting. The Englisg voice acting was very over-dramatic compared to the wooden, never- changing expressions of the actors...if zombies were picked to play human characters this film would be the result.
There is also a long running obsession with homosexual rape, bestiality and coprophilia in this movie, why? I don't know, I suppose they just thought that a fat cross-dressing Madame Irma type character crapping in a bowl was hilarious so they included it. Also, racist attitudes towards Laps apparently stem from homosexual rape by burly Scandinavian lumberjacks...what were they thinking?
The final scenes of the film really show that the people making it just gave up. The sword fight with Buljo is ridiculous, with the two fighters randomly and softly clashing their katanas together...and then there's the "I am your father joke". WHY?!
When the reason why the evil gang of cattle rustlers (?) or whatever they are reveal why they tried to kill the main character you will have a good laugh as it is pretty funny...but then your mirth will be snatched away by the clumsy and painfully unfunny fighting scenes...oh, and the Star Wars joke too, did I mention that?
And finally, the evil Buljo is killed and you are treated to some premium quality arse-groping...so funny.
All in all this film has funny aspects to it, but the sheer randomness and disgusting humour just spoils it completely and seems to show a lack of effort from the creators. If you like watching films with insanely stupid and disgusting random humour or just like low budget films, go ahead and rent it, there is worse stuff out there...but I recommend you get yourself some beer to go with it.

This is a must see! A group of friends from a small town i northern Norway has made a low budget spoof movie loosely based on Tarantino's Kill Bill - and it's funny as heck! For movie aficionados it contains references to a fjord-load of classics, from Star Wars to Deliverance, in addition to the obvious likeness to the two Kill Bills. Splatter, cheesy one-liners and arctic ass-kicking all rolled into one big snowball of lowbrow laughs. Oh, and plenty of ham acting intermixed with some quite talented amateurs. The snowmobile chase scene alone is worth the price of admission! It is quite interesting that this movie has been made with almost no support from the Norwegian film establishment, and yet it's a bigger hit with young audiences than most productions that costs ten or twenty times more to make. Just goes to show that an original idea and a love of movie-making wins over money and prestige every time.
Oh my.
Well I did read the reviews so I was warned. I thought let's go and challenge good taste, and I wasn't "disappointed". Rolling my eyes so many times they almost fell out of their sockets, I still didn't find the sense to stop the film. I made it to the end, but I don't know if that's an achievement one should be proud of.
The low budget look is okay and the bad acting is just... bad acting, but this can be part of the "charm" in these type of films. Sometimes bad acting replaces or enhances humor because of the goofy look.
My conclusion is - what comes up when a group of people get seriously drunk and then one says let's make a film and all go haywire with ideas. The outcome is hilarious while you're boozed, but next morning you just moan and wince at the thought of it. Here, no one had the guts next morning to be the one pointing out that they'll better leave it.
Some "jokes" seem to be taken straight from the walls of a lavatory in the wrong part of town, just thrown in for the sake of it and where they couldn't think up something witty.
Mostly I winced. I laughed loud once (!) but sadly I can't remember where it was... the shock of this sudden spark in my numb brain blocked my memory completely. And I won't go boldly again to where no man has gone before to find it out.
Some reviews say you have to be Norwegian to "get it". Sorry but I can't accept this lame excuse for this humorous landslide of a film.
If you want to laugh about dialects and the prejudices people to their e.g. Northern or Southern landsmen, watch the french comedy "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" (Welcome to the Sticks). The humor was even able to be comprehended and found funny in Germany, in German dubbing (I haven't seen it in English, though).
2 stars for the "good" intentions. By the way, the road to hell is paved with these...

- CuriosidadesThe movie is based in Kautokeino, Norway.
- Erros de gravaçãoIn Sid Wisløff's flashback, where he "solves" his first case, turning in his father for moon-shining, Sid is caught drinking the last Coca Cola in the house. The bottle in the film is shown with a paper label. In the 70's, the time of the flashback, Norwegian Coke bottles had the logo painted on the bottles. They did not have paper labels.
