Grizzly Park fails to fulfill its original purpose as horror film, so if you're looking for a scare, don't waste your time. That is not to say that it's not worth seeing. The only major redeeming quality this film has is it's variety of stereotype characters (and I'm not using stereotypical as a bad thing here) and their interactions, which was interesting to watch. These interactions are still undeveloped and had the movie not been distracted with trying to be horrific, it would have been a great drama about eight unflinchingly rotten youths with different backgrounds who get what's coming to them.
There is no character development; everyone stays the same until the end, but the versatility of the characters makes up for that. I liked that there were no sudden bouts of "courage" which is a generic element found in a lot of other horror movies. The characters die unrepentant, which I think is a noble trait for a villain to have.
Other than that, the props look fake, the directing is mediocre, the acting is decent, and the dialog is OK with some good witticism here and there. A major problem with the writing is as all the other reviews point out, the undeveloped subplot of the escaped murderer/rapist which makes you wonder why it was included in the writing in the first place.
Bottom line, on a scale of one to ten for a horror movie I'd give this film a one, and for a morbid drama I'd give it a seven.

This flick revolves around eight brainless, disregarding, and non-caring young adults that were originally to amend their criminal misdemeanors through a week of community service. I could just sum it up exactly as that and you could get the depiction of this "headless zombie" of a movie.
Man this one lied in wait before it kicked off and the feeling with this film wasn't much horror-like at all. It was quite like watching teenage soap or Dawson's Creek for about an hour with Ranger Bob in there directing traffic and taking some disrespectful behaviour by the youngsters before things got to the gory action.
Glenn Morshower (Ranger Bob) is quite a decent actor and perhaps the only interesting and likable guy in the casting. The rest were just behaving very poorly stupid. Even a few lines in there that were indeed incoherent like "how do you tell the time, do you use the sun or something". How does a sun tell time? Unless she had a sundial, then I'd understand. To other incoherence, what happened to the imposter ranger who made impact at the beginning of the film? His scenes were pointless since they placed him as a force to reckon with, then just wrote him off before he could do serious damage.
The acting performances of the casting besides Ranger Bob, were just horrid at best. I'm sorry, they conducted a really terrible job trying to make believe. At the end, I must say I liked that what they did there. Cool little ending. All in all, this movie ain't nothing special, it ain't nothing much, it's just there to catch a glimpse off of. It's got some entertainment. But fast forward at your own will, I know I did some parts.

Hi. The best part of the entire movie was not the movie itself, but the behind the scenes material. The way the writer/director and some cast members describe the making of this film, was worth the $1.07 I spent to rent it. To them, it was if they were creating a masterpiece, a Citizen Kane or a great Hitchcockian gem. Talk about being in denial!! Rent, then watch this poorly acted, directed, written, produced, edited, scored little pile of bile and then brace yourself for the behind the scenes material. I slid off my couch laughing hysterically watching this stuff. If you're looking for a good scare, this film won't do it for you. My 4 year old thought is was goofy and unrealistic. The bear claws used in close ups looked like it was Black tooth from the Soupy Sales show--a guy with his arm in a moth riddled bear suit. Loads of laughs!!!
Eight juvenile delinquents are sentenced to community service at Grizzly Park supervised by Ranger Bob, not knowing that a serial killer is on the lose but they all have to deal with a bear as well.
This film goes nowhere for most of its running time and takes its leisurely time getting there. The acting is pretty bad, as was expected. And for the amount of good looking female cast members in the cast, I was surprised at the sheer lack of nudity, not to say that that would save this dud of a film, but it would have made it somewhat, pardon the pun, bearable. The film does pick up LATE in the movie but by that time I doubt you'll care. On a side-note, before this movie I had just watched "Bear" so this one seemed better if only by comparison to that putrid offering.

So the film, a group of teenagers are sent away for a few nights camping with Ranger Bob. For some reason at the beginning there's a murder for no apparent reason but that fault is soon corrected. Basically if your looking for a not so great horror and fancy something simple to watch this is for you. Some parts were decent(Half dressed girls/ blokes, you decide what you like). The film seems to be called grizzly park due to the rampant crazy animals that are running about. Some of the characters are completely stupid, such as the White Supremist who is the most untough guy in the film, and the black from the "hood" who dresses like a choir boy.
Is an OK watch but nothing special.
