Really Reviewers?

I couldn't believe when I saw this flick and jumped on IMDb to see the user reviews there was nothing but praise, it didn't make any sense! It does make sense if you had some kind of connection to the piece though, one reviewer mentioned it's a great movie to have friends over and scare each other, I think my friends would be skeptical of my intelligence if I invited them over to watch this rot, they certainly wouldn't be coming to another movie night at my house!

Absolutely awful movie, boring drawn out storyline, no good action, if you can handle over an hour of bad actors yelling I'm cold or where's Ricky (something like that I can't even remember any names they were that useless) then this movie is for you but if you like something that seems like there was any thought put into it at all I'd give it a miss.

Don't...Just Don't; You've Been Warned

Once again the numbers game is rigged; there are 8 glowing reviews that would like you to believe this is the greatest movie in the "horror" genre. If it were the "horrible" genre it would qualify without even trying. The acting is abominable, but why pick on that when you can throw in the script (plot, dialogue) and direction. Watch this only of you have no other form of entertainment, including watching something cook in a microwave (or even gas or electric) oven.

Real story?!

The best story which is based on real events. well I didn't know what to expect from this movie to start with,but as the movie progressed slowly but surely it got me involved in it like a good thriller should the acting is fine cant remember any particular exceptional performance, but the story and direction were very powerful.

there were huge amount of twists not that much violence but i think it would leave you thinking for the rest of the night as to are people actually ungrateful to live!!!!!! gr8 movie and I would advise it to every thriller movie fan..... Based on the teaser(which was very long) so the movie will be better

Expection

I don't have much to say except this- once all those Hollywood movies that rely on a CGI creature/monster, tons of blood, gore, and fake, sudden scares are long forgotten, this one will definitely stand out. This is a dramatic, moving, and nonetheless truly frightening psychological thriller. I enjoyed this teaser better than any other (the reason being- its beautiful score and stunning performances from Richmond Arquette and Darcy Fowers) This is not your traditional horror movie, this is what movies is all about. P.S You'll enjoy it more if you watch it on a DVD system, in the dark, by yourself, on the biggest TV set you can find =]

Good story

Movies like this are the ones that makes us believe in the horror genre. It is because of such movies we like to see horror/thriller movies. Let me tell you that after watching the teaser I wanted to buy the ticket and watch it because after a long time I got to see a real gripping and tightly directed horror movie. The teaser is very exciting and has a lot of goosebumps. However, if you are a faint of heart please do not see this movie as it has a lot of gore/violence in it which will make you jump out of your seat. I just can't wait for the DVD to come out as I really want to buy it. My recommendation to all of you is to watch Rift and have a good time like I will. Also, the best story ever. 10/10
