    A Muest see for Everyone

Over the past century, consumption of carbon dioxide-emitting fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) has risen to staggering levels, especially in the United States, where five percent of the world's population is responsible for 25 percent of the world'scarbon dioxide emissions. TOO HOT NOT TO HANDLE offers a wealth of chilling evidence that the greenhouse effect is intensifying and the Earth is warming faster than at any other time in human history.

Deadly heat waves in the U.S. have increased threefold since 1950 and today kill more people than hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning and blizzards combined.

The average temperature in Alaska has already risen five degrees, causing 99 percent of its glaciers to be melting, retreating and shrinking.

Too Hot to handle is a deeply compelling documentary on the effects of Global Warming.

This film gets it half right, half wrong

The film is right on its main point, which is that human-caused global climate change is real, happening now, and is life-threatening. While this film is sort of a CliffsNotes version of the issue, it at least gets that much right, making it worthy of its title.

However, it's very sloppy, even in that regard. It tends to use a lot of anecdotes, EXACTLY the kind of data that even they admit is not proof of climate change. What they need to focus on is aggregate data, and they simply didn't do that.

Worse is the credulous manner in which the proposed solutions are presented. Ethanol? In just the few years since this was broadcast, we've become aware that this is not a solution, and is even more expensive and harmful to produce than the problem it's supposed to solve. (At least they didn't mention hydrogen!) I won't go into the other solutions, but they are all presented as if all the problems are solved and it's just a matter of flipping a switch. Well, no. We're nowhere near ready, even five years later.

The obvious problem, conveniently brushed aside, is over-consumption per capita, and overpopulation. These are the root causes, and until we address them (and I doubt we have the character to do it) then global climate change will increase, and our children and grandchildren will suffer for it, and some will die because of it.

This will be an interesting historical oddity, like the duck-and-cover propaganda of the cold war era, illustrative of how to dodge an issue while convincing the public you're addressing it.

    Fear Mongering

They scam about global warming is coming to an end. There may be a little global warming, but #1-It is NOT man made. The oceans release more CO2 in a year than mankind has released since the industrial revolution. A single active volcano eruption pour 100 times the C02 man has contributed since the invention of the combustible engine. #2-Global warming is not, I repeat, IS NOT a bad thing. According to scientists, not politicians, but scientists, this warming has occurred before as weather has always gone in cycles. The last time we had a slight warming, less than 10 degree centigrade (which is what the fear mongering hacks are claiming), our global society prospered. Greenland wasn't named Greenland because it was a frozen tundra. At one time Greenland was one of the greatest tropical paradises there was. The greatest movie that you can see on global warming is called "The Great Global Warming Swindle". I highly recommend it to anyone concerned with the hoax. This documentary was made by scientists, not political hacks with an agenda driven motive to gain even more control over this planet.

All of the misguided and intentional misinformation is beginning to be exposed and the truth will be known. I hope Al Gore is handed his head on a platter and they revoke his Nobel Peace Prize, which no longer carries any credibility as far as I'm concerned.
