This is one of many obnoxious kids shows that rip off Spongebob, followed by Fanboy and Chum Chum, Rocket Monkeys, and Breadwinners. Coconut Fred also has the same VA as Bubsy. I didn't give this 1 star because there are way worse shows and movies out there, and the writers seem very creative with what they have Coconut Fred make appear. Then again, this can still get them some hate just for showing off how imaginative they are with their nonsense. Also, this crazy fruit salad island is more fun to watch for 13 episodes than the torture porn series named Stressed Eric.

This is worse than most modern Spongebob episodes because the whole show is about Coconut Fred making anything he thinks of appear and tortures almost everyone with his annoyance. Much like Bubsy, he also makes things go wrong for everyone except himself whenever he asks what could possibly go wrong. Everyone except the banana twins are subject to his terror. This is what Star vs. the Forces of Evil would be like if Star Butterfly was evil and used her magic to torture everyone on Earth.

What can I say about this fourth insult cartoon. Kids' WB Should have not aired this cartoon on the same day Loonatics Unleashed and Johnny Test premiered. The animation looks ugly and I cannot sum any message in four words. But this was the main character's voice actor's least favorite role Fred is acting like SpongeBob but not very good like his shenanigans .The Banana Twins are clones of Patrick. And Bingo is acting probably like Gary. Yeah... I don't like this show. But it is not the worst Kids' WB show ever but I still don't like this show. Writing is bland. Don't know about the intro and music. I give this show a 2 out of 10.

I watched Coconut Fred on TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) in 2007 when I was a teenager like aged 17 and it was dubbed in Irish Gaeilge. I heard it was shown on Cartoon Network years ago. It's not great nor exciting as the other 2000s cartoons. It's probably one of the worst 2000s cartoons of all time. It's kinda very annoying and stupid especially Coconut Fred himself. I thought I couldn't stand Coconut Fred. I'm sure he gives a poor grouchy watermelon known as Mr. Mel Greenrind a terrible hard time and Fred's antics have been driving Greenrind mad.

I just don't like it at all.

It's just rubbish. I'd say it's definitely a total rip off of a popular Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants. Warner Bros., a subsidiary of Time Warner (then WarnerMedia, now Warner Bros. Discovery) should be ashamed of that idiotic cartoon. Warner Brothers should be sued by Nickelodeon and their parent company Viacom (then ViacomCBS, now Paramount Global or simply Paramount) for copying their beloved franchise SpongeBob Squarepants as well, you know.

Let's make Bounty chocolate bars out of Coconut Fred and turn other characters into juices or smoothies.

Go and watch SpongeBob Squarepants (but not the modern era) instead.

Oh man...This show is the biggest ripoff of Spongebob I have ever seen! Even the name sounds the same! Coconut Fred...Spongebob... Fred acts almost exactly like Sponge, and Fred's banana buddies Slip and Slide act as a joint Patrick, Mr. Greenrind is a sort of Squidward...

I'll admit that the show can be funny, but only because it is so much like SB.

I give it 0/10 for originality, 4/10 for voice acting, 3/10 for animation, and 4/10 for music and sound effects. All in all, 3/10. Definitely not one of my favorites. I recommend Invader Zim or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends if you're looking for a good cartoon to watch.

Oh what a pathetic waste of a timeslot this was back in the day. Only the true braindead will watch this show to claim that there's nothing wrong with it. When you know Rob Paulsen himself hates it, the harsh criticisms from others only make sense. It's an island alright, but littered with garbage.

This has got to be one of the worst Spongebob Rip-offs out there. It was so bad that even the voice actor, Rob Paulsen, regret being part of the show. Well, it is said that he wasn't mad at it, but I wouldn't blame him for thinking that way. I would also like to say this show ripped off Annoying Orange, but it can't because this came first.

The show is annoying as heck. The voice acting is horrible and the characters are totally unlikable. This show lacks any sort of character development to a point where you cannot differentiate the two banana brothers. And let's talk about Fred, he is very loud and so annoying to a point that you'd want to shut this TV show off. Yes, I am very annoying myself, but I think this is annoying on another level. Mr. Greenrind also rips off Mr Krabs and Squidward, and there are so many more rip offs. The voice acting is subpar, despite having talented voice actors.

The animation style is awful, lazy, and cheap looking, and I am not even going to even consider that this show was made in 2005. The show has a 240p resolution, which looks pretty bad. Heck, even Bugs Bunny looked better than this, despite being much older. This animation style feels like Almost Naked Animals, thankfully not as ugly tho, but not much better.

This show didn't seem to try to be anything creative. Despite Annoying Orange being criticized by many (I like it, but it's still not without its flaws), I feel like it at least tried to be more than a Spongebob copy.

Too Much Ripoffs, This Is The WORST ONE! I'M TIRED OF WATCHING THIS! No Coconut Fred, Let's Watch SpongeBob SquarePants! Worse than the modern episodes and Bubsy because they always ruin things (Not Previous/Past Spongebob)

Cocoanut Fred is a hilarious cartoon with many wacky characters and situations, I enjoyed more than spongebob! Despite there only being 13 episodes each one manages to squeeze all possible laughs out of you when watching it.

WB Made this show with no plot of the fruits didnt eaten half of one service 1. This show gor the worst plot ever and script when children are watching it 2. Who wants a coconut as a charcther it gives worse to the than you destroy it YUCK!

And 3. This is a ripoff of spongebob squarepants avoid watching this also there the plot

:Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island takes place on an island inhabited exclusively by fruit. The residents enjoy their own tropical paradise without a care in the world; they must share their peaceful utopia with the joyfully strange Coconut Fred, a whimsical, blissfully foolish coconut with the special ability to materialize anything he thinks about. The plot revolves around the adventures of Fred and his friends, as his boundless imagination springs to life while his friends struggle to cover up the collateral. Any conflict could range from getting a "fruit canal", to sailing off the island only to find themselves in a humongous storm.

There were very few episodes so I seen most twice and they are funny intelligent and very positive. Fred doesn't know the meaning of word panic, fear etc. and he thinks any of those responses are games. He exhibits innocence and a beginners mind with hilarious consequences.

The cast of character spans all age-groups and the characters are well developed and unique. Unlike everyone else, the Bunga berry has four feet. The cartoon is inspired.

As of Feb. 2006, WB stopped showing it, which is a terrible pity. I hope it will be available again.

Maybe amazon will carry the video.

Much like Breadwinners, Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island is one of those cartoons that I never expected it to be good, as the reviews were telling the truth about it and wouldn't you know it, it turned out to be a disastrous result.

However though, for as bad as Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island is, Chowder is no better than Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island because while I do agree for the most part that Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island was horrendous on every level, I've expected it's reviews to tell the truth about this thing, although I will admit that I did manage to enjoy a few episodes of it when I was a teenager, but that was because I didn't know any better until I saw the reviews on TV.com back when I was older, but my point still stands.

I've had certain expectations when it came to Chowder and it fails to deliver, for as bad as Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island is, I can at least understand what I was in for and I got exactly that.

The only good part along with some moments of some watermelon being is that I've got exactly what I was expecting, that is it.

The concept, unbelievably terrible, although generally speaking, that shouldn't be possible, some of my mates were supposed to find one redeeming quality about it, but they didn't, they honestly didn't.

The stories themselves, pretty terrible for the most part as they just involve a bunch of fruit being introduce, I have no earthy idea.

The artwork and animation is mixed at best, they mostly look nightmarish, the cartoon is made for kids, yet these fruits look incredibly goofy, I'm not even joking, was this exclusively made for mates to get off?

As for the humor, I'll admit some moments with the watermelon getting scared were the only things funny, but this show was a trainwreck, it's really hard on what this show is trying to be, so I'm just going to move on.

Come on i feel bad for Rob Paulsen who had to voice this abomination and my 7th least favorite show next to The Samsonadzes and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome i would say that this is the worst show ever from 2005-2006 and it even is a rip-off to Spongebob Squarepants which is way better than this.

Fred was such a great show.It was simple but somehow very addicting.I can still remember the days when I'd watch this on Kids WB Saturdays ,but then Kids WB did the unforgivable.Kids WB became like that older relative that tries to act "hip" and "funky fresh".*shudder*They became like that relative who tries to act all cool ,but the attempt is a cheesy disaster.They pulled Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Inland and all the other good shows to put on some of the most pointless shows I've ever seen In my life(Will and DeWitt).The only thing that keeps me watching KWB anymore is the occasional bits of the old shows and the anime on 4kids.It was such a huge mistake to pull this show off of the schedule.This brings me back to my first point... BRING IT BACK!!!

"Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island!" is a hilarious show that is on Saturday mornings on WB. It stars Coconut Fred and all of his friends on the island, and every episode is a very funny misadventure of theirs. Most of the time, it is because of Coconut Fred's trouble making antics which makes it funny, and other stuff going on on the island at the same time. The humor is great and nobody on the island is very bright at all, which adds it being as amusing as it is. I don't think this could be funnier. The voice talents of the characters are magnificently superior and are exaggerated, which adds to the show's hilarity. If this is ever on DVD, I'm getting it A.S.A.P!

Strongly recommended for a good laugh.
