This is one of the most generic Lupin III films. There is very little that makes this one stand out from the rest. The animation isn't consistent, they will occasionally cut to a freeze frame. The darker shadows and contrast make for a cool looking film. Fujiko shines as her duplicitous self. The action feels more brutal than your typical Lupin adventure.
If you haven't seen 39 other Lupin III movies, you'll probably like this one fine. But as far as striking gold, keep searching, that treasure isn't here.
This was a really fun adventure film to watch. It takes place in many parts of Europe to find the statues, with lots of action. As someone else said there's a lot of Indiana jones and james bond vibes. I liked the fact that Goemon works as a mercenary in this film, and has some funny moments. Also pretty cool that the 2 teams end up cooperating for the treasure. As for the villain, a misogynist homosexual guy, it really caught me off guard. Not only is there Booby traps, puzzles, and a young female archaeologist. There's a band of Nazis trying to get the treasure for themselves. And their leader is very freaky looking.
I won't give out what Harimao's Treasure is, so you gotta see it for yourself. This is another fine Lupin anime to watch. And has plenty of funny parts in it too.
I give it 8/10

[interrogation]
Inspector Koichi Zenigata: How long you been riding the Lupin Express?
Diana: Excuse me, but I've never seen this man before today!
Inspector Koichi Zenigata: Come on, Lupin, what does this woman have to do with this?
Arsene Lupin III: Okay, Pops, here's the deal: we've been dating each other for about six months. From the start, it was kismet. She may be feisty, and a bit on the hairy side, but...
Diana: [slaps Lupin] Who are you calling hairy?
Inspector Koichi Zenigata: Who cares? It's obvious that the two of you are in this TOGETHER! I'm taking the two of you to Paris so they can throw the book at you!
Diana: I-AM-NOT-WITH-HIIMMM!
Inspector Koichi Zenigata: I DON'T WANNA HEAR ANYMORE!
