It ended quicker than the other show, but it was still funny. In my opinion, Cem Yilmaz is the best comedian in Turkey. I don't think I've ever watched this show.
I generally avoid commenting on stand-up shows. It is a challenging task for many reasons. It has a lot to do with culture, with individual sense of humor. It's almost always a challenge, if not impossible, to say objectively good or bad.
This is objectively and unquestionably one of the greatest masterpieces in Turkish stand-up history. The birth of the legend of Cem Yilmaz. He analyzes Turkish culture perfectly and makes fun of it with unforgettable jokes that will be engraved in Turkish culture.
We used to listen to this stand-up in the heat of the Turkish countryside, on a 14-hour car ride with my family. Again and again. As a country, we listened until we memorized every word, without ever getting bored, without letting ourselves burst into laughter.
There is only one sad aspect of this standup. It created such a legend that years later its creator could not compete with it and was crushed under it. I guess that's the inevitable tragedy of such great artists, that eventually it turns out that they can never surpass their greatest works, and that they can't compete with those works indefinitely.
In the post-digital platform period, Cem Yilmaz can at least take solace in knowing that he is one of the biggest names that shaped the humor in Turkey in the 2000s.

In his unbelievable show, Cem Yilmaz, a talent which emerges merely once in a millennium, alters the character of "stand up" to something which hasn't been described yet. Thus, a country's daily culture reflects on a show with every kind of gestures based upon pinpoint observations as no literature could afford to the date. Each observation also gives a code about its own context which helps to realize a standardized category of behaviors. Ironically his jokes and style especially in this magnum opus has affected many people in a way as if everybody is pretending to be a Cem Yilmaz while doing jokes. His extraordinary theatrical style also provided him the opportunity to become an actor and it was not less successful.
Bir Tat Bir Doku is unarguably the best stand up special from the best of Turkey, Cem Yilmaz. Performed and recorded in 90's, the jokes, the humor and observations still obtain. None of Yilmaz's further shows could reach up to the standards of this show. You will gasp with laughter every time you watch it. I try to watch it once or twice a year; the jokes, the imitations still preserve themselves. None of the other comedians can top this special. You can laugh at every 15 to 30 seconds, yet you might not remember all the jokes from the show, because it's too long, but very funny! A must watch.
Wonderful show i watched this least 20 times. Never gets old but gold cem yilmaz times.
