Bam Margera Rejects Jackass Return or Viva La Bam Revival: 'Couldn't Pay Me Enough Money'
Image
Former Jackass star Bam Margera is back in the spotlight with his inclusion in the new Tony Hawk video game, giving fans a chance to see him elsewhere after his absence in Jackass Forever. Margera and the Jackass team had a big falling out during the production of the sequel, and that seems to have forever put the kibosh on a possible return to the franchise.

Margera discussed the way things were left with Jackass during an interview with CinemaBlend to promote the new video game Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4. He was asked if there was any chance he could revisit Jackass or potentially resurrect his spinoff series, Viva La Bam, in some way. Margera said that the Jackass ship had sailed after what happened with the last movie.

"They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and...

Angry Bam Margera Refuses Return to ‘Jackass’: ‘Couldn’t Offer Me Enough Money’
Image
Skateboarder Bam Margera rose to TV fame via the Jackass franchise, risking life and limb for the sake of sadistic TV laughs. But there’s no way he’d ever revisit those glory days, either on film or via reboot, since he has no intention of mending his rift with Johnny Knoxville and the gang, he recently told CinemaBlend.

“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie,” he explained. “You know, I had to go to court over it, and I just… You couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them. The damage has been done.”

Margera settled a lawsuit against a number of key Jackass players in 2022, alleging wrongful termination and claiming he was forced to sign an agreement he called psychological torture.

“The Damage Has Been Done”: ‘Jackass’ Star, 45, Reveals Why He's Never Going Back to the Franchise
Image
Jackass’ Bam Margera has made up his mind about a potential reunion, and fans won’t be too thrilled. The former skateboarder became a popular culture icon thanks to the MTV shows that featured unforgettable stunt performances and pranks. It aired between October 2000 and August 2001, with reruns extending into 2002. Starring in this cringe comedy was a regular cast ensemble, including Margera, Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, Ryan Dunn, Steve-o, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, and Preston Lacy.

In a recent CinemaBlend interview with Margera, the TV personality dished on the subject of returning to Jackass, which he was not entirely against; however, reuniting with his crew was out of the question. Explaining why, he said:

“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had...

Bam Margera Rules Out ‘Jackass’ Reunion: ‘You Couldn’t Offer Me Enough Money to Want to Do Another’
Image
Bam Margera is promoting his first project in some years with his inclusion as the “secret skater” in the video game remake “Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4.” But the stuntman and skateboarder is still ruling out a return to his “Jackass” origins

“What they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it,” Margera said in a CinemaBlend interview when asked about the prospect of a reunion. “You couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another ‘Jackass’ with them. The damage has been done.”

Margera sued Paramount, “Jackass” leader Johnny Knoxville and director Spike Jonze in 2021, alleging he was wrongfully fired from the series revival feature “Jackass Forever.” Margera, who served as a main cast member of the original “Jackass” TV series on MTV and three subsequent features,...

Bam Margera Shoots Down ‘Jackass’ Return, ‘Viva La Bam’ Revival Prospects: “The Damage Has Been Done”
Image
Nearly 25 years after its MTV debut, Bam Margera has no intention of returning to his Jackass roots.

Following his ousting from 2022’s Jackass Forever and ensuing lawsuit against Paramount, the former pro skateboarder recently emphasized that he is done with Johnny Knoxville and the rest of his co-stars.

“They have like new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and, you know, I had to go to court over it and I just, you couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them,” Margera told Cinemablend. “The damage has been done.”

Margera also shot down any hopes of reviving his Jackass spin-off series Viva la Bam, which ran for five seasons on MTV from 2003 to 2005.

“I just feel like that type of show has completely run its course,...

'Can't Wait to Not See It': Bam Margera Blasts Jackass Franchise Possibly Moving Forward
Image
Bam Margera exited the Jackass franchise amid controversy during the production of Jackass Forever, the fourth feature film of the franchise. Now feeling that the best days of Jackass are long gone, Margera has suggested that the franchise is finished, meaning that a potential fifth movie should be called something else. Margera even has a particular title in mind.

Margera was one of the original stars of the Jackass TV show that spawned the franchise, which also included his hit spinoff series, Viva La Bam. In 2020, Margera was terminated from Jackass Forever, and he subsequently filed a lawsuit, arguing that he was wrongfully fired. The two sides later reached a settlement, but the details were not disclosed. While the future of the franchise isn't entirely clear, Margera shared a new video on Instagram sharing his thoughts on a possible fifth film happening.

Tony Hawk Explains Why He Advocated For Bam Margera In Thps 3+4: "It Would Be A Disservice To Have Bam Out Of It"
Image
Skating legend Tony Hawk felt it would have been a grave oversight for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 to go ahead without the return of Bam Margera. The upcoming remaster is putting a new coat of paint on the third and fourth installments of the series, which both feature Margera as a playable character. The initial Thps 3 + 4 skater list omitted Margera, who was subsequently added to the game after public outcry.

In an interview with Screen Rant at Thps Fest, Hawk was asked about the hearsay that he personally called Activision to have Margera reinstated in the remaster collection. Hawk's full response is as follows:

"It's true in a sense, yeah. And I’m just stoked to have Bam in the mix. He's such an icon of the series and came to be a big presence in the later games, and I feel like we're celebrating so much history of the game,...

Will There Be a 'Jackass 5'? Co-Creator Jeff Tremaine Gives Franchise Update [Exclusive]
Image
The early aughts were a magical time for Reality TV. Sure, MTVs The Real World had already been out for about a decade, but other now beloved programs like Survivor, Big Brother, and The Osbournes were just getting started. At the turn of the millennium, with nothing but a few video cameras, a dream, and perhaps a not-so-firm grip on mortality, a group of young men struck out to do something the world had never seen before. They performed dangerous stunts with no regard to their personal health or medical bills. That ragtag group started the now-iconic series: Jackass. Although the original production only ran for three very short seasons, it took hold of the general public, inspiring folks from all around the world to pick up a camera and do something crazy. Following the wrap of Jackass, a franchise was born, with spin-off shows like Viva La Bam and...

Bam Margera spotted at a Florida bar after leaving rehab, not speaking to parents

Bam Margera has left rehab again and he reportedly is not in contact with his parents.

Bam previously fled court-ordered rehab twice in Florida after expressing dissatisfaction with his accommodations. More specifically, he was allegedly unhappy at the lack of celebrity treatment he received.

The skateboarder, who became a prominent figure after appearing on Jackass and Viva La Bam, has struggled with addiction issues over the years.

Things went from bad to worse for Bam last year when he failed to meet the contractual requirements demanded of him to appear in the Jackass movie and got fired from the film. Although Bam ultimately filed a lawsuit and settled with Jackass producers, he has been in rehab for an extended period.

Bam reportedly left rehab again on Sunday after...

Jackass is making a comeback to the small screen.

Paramount+ has ordered a new series following the success of the movie Jackass Forever.

“Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+,” Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said Tuesday, according to Variety.

Jackass returned to the big screen earlier this year with Jackass Forever, the fourth movie in the big-screen franchise.

The movie grossed 80 million from a 10 million budget and found itself on Paramount+ shortly after release.

The franchise kicked off on MTV as a TV series, and now, it looks like Paramount+ thinks a new series will be the best foot forward for the franchise.

The flick included classic cast members such as Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, and Preston Lacy.

“Jackass” is heading back to the small screen, with a new series from the original creators in the works at Paramount+ after to the immense popularity of “Jackass Forever.”

“Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+,” Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said Tuesday during the company’s Q1 earnings call Tuesday.

“Jackass Forever,” the fourth film in the long-running franchise, debuted at the top of domestic box office in February with a better-than-expected 23.5 million. The film included classic cast members such as Johnny Knoxville, Steve-o, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy, as well as several new faces, including Rachel Wolfson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney and Jasper Dolphin.

More than 20 years ago, MTV debuted a little show late at night featuring a collection of gnarly dudes doing stupid stunts and pranking one another. That series, "Jackass," went on to be a global phenomenon, so far spawning four theatrically released films, the spin-off films of "Bad Grandpa," a handful of straight-to-video sequels, several spin-off shows including "Wildboyz," "Viva la Bam," and "Homewrecker," and more. The antics of a group of skateboarders and professional knuckleheads became an indelible part of pop culture. The road has been hard, and it has been long, but the cast members of "Jackass" have plenty of...

The Jackass Forever Stunt That Made Johnny Knoxville Call It Quits
Johnny Knoxville in Jackass Para Sempre (2022)
Being able to boast that a franchise has lasted over two decades is impressive, but considering the world of "Jackass" requires putting the body, mind, arrest record, and stomach on the line at every turn, it's a damn miracle that everyone's favorite comedy stuntmen are still up to their usual shenanigans after all these years. The MTV series debuted in 2000 for three seasons but turned into an entertainment franchise including spin-offs "Wildboyz," "Viva La Bam," "Homewrecker," "Bam's Unholy Union," "Dr. Steve-o," "Bam's World Domination," "Bam's Bad Ass Game Show," a video game, TV specials (including Shark Week) five feature films, and the...

Steve-o Responds After Bam Margera Claims Jackass Family 'Betrayed' Him
Image
Bam Margera says his former Jackass family has left him feeling betrayed, but Steve-o is insisting that this isn't the case. Previously, Margera had revealed through videos posted to Instagram that he had been booted by the studio from the upcoming sequel Jackass 4. At the time, he asked for fans to boycott the movie, claiming he had been unjustly fired for failing to abide by strict conditions set by the studio to stay on the project.

For the most part, the Jackass team has stayed largely silent regarding Bam's dismissal from Jackass 4. Now, Bam Margera is calling attention back to the matter after posting a new video slamming those involved with the project once again. In the footage, Margera claims series creator Jeff Tremaine and co-star Johnny Knoxville misled and mistreated him with their contractual demands.

"So, my family, Jackass, has betrayed me, abandoned me, rejected me... not all of them,...

‘Jackass 4’ Team Trying to Get Bam Margera Help After Meltdown
Image
In several disturbing (and since deleted) videos posted to his Instagram last week that were then picked up by TMZ, “Jackass” star and skateboarder Bam Margera lashed out at the production of the latest installment of the franchise, saying he was being cut out of the movie and that they were stealing his ideas.

Margera, a “Jackass” star since its MTV inception in 2000, also claimed that during the production, he had to submit to breathalyzer and urine tests, and that his medications were being mandated by Paramount, the studio behind the movie. Margera appeared to be inebriated in the videos, the first of which began with him saying, “Who the fuck cares if I’m drunk as hell or not anymore? ‘Jackass’ has put me through fucking hell on fucking wheels for the past year and a half.”

The “Jackass” franchise began releasing stunt-comedy movies in 2002 with “Jackass: The Movie,...

Johnny Knoxville at an event for Pátria Proibida (2006)
We've not heard the last of the iconic words, "Hello, I'm Johnny Knoxville and Welcome to Jackass." At long last, Jackass 4 has been given the green light at Paramount Pictures. There has been much discussion over the past several years as to whether or not we've seen the last of Knoxville and the gang punishing one another with stunts and pranks for our amusement. Now, the studio has gotten serious as they've locked down a release date for the fourth installment of the franchise.

According to a new report, Jackass 4 is now set to hit theaters on March 5, 2021. Beyond that, there are precious few details to go on at this time. It's said that Johnny Knoxville will return, but it's not clear which of the other cast members would come back. Jackass 3D was released nearly a decade ago in 2010 and, as Knoxville has said in the past, he and...

The Baby From 'The Hangover' Is All Grown up and We Feel Old Af
It’s been nine years since The Hangover and we still consider the guys to be our three-best-friends-that-anyone-could-have — but there is one major person in the Wolfpack who we haven’t seen in a while. No, not you, fat Jesus... we're talking about Carlos! Would you be able to spot baby Carlos (aka Tyler) today? Let’s be honest: Baby Carlos was in the movie more than Doug, but somehow he’s uncredited. Seriously, Wth? Well, as it turns out, there was actually eight different babies who played baby Carlos in the original movie. Grant Holmquist, who played a majority of the role (58%), shared the screen with his twin sister, Avery, who stepped in 40% of the time— leaving the other babies to make up the difference. (Photo Credit: Warner Bro. Pictures) Being the only boy out of the eight babies, Grant regained his title as Carlos (aka Tyler) in the...

MTV’s Head Of Reality Lauren Dolgen Exits
Image
Another veteran MTV Networks executive is leaving the company, which has been undergoing a string of executive changes. Lauren Dolgen, who had been at MTV for 19 years, is stepping down as Head of Reality Programming and EVP of Series Development. Her position won’t be replaced.

Dolgen was named to the new post in March 2015 in one of multiple executive reshufflings over the past few years at MTV, which also underwent a company-wide round of layoffs. She previously was Head of West Coast Reality and EVP of Series Development. Dolgen’s scripted counterpart, Mina Lefevre, is staying on.

Dolgen’s departure comes three months after Michael Klein joined MTV as EVP Original Content in March. When the network’s previous head of programming Susanne Daniels exited her post in July 2015, the plan was to not fill the position, with Lefevre and Dolgen, named co-heads of programming, reporting to then-mtv president Stephen Friedman.
